So a friend of mine recently traveled to China for the spring festival.

Being originally from Chongqing China, he told me how it’s a major pain in the neck for him to access even the simplest of things like Netflix, Facebook, YouTube, and Google.

China being a major narc, has over the years, pretty much blocked every foreign content in the region.

It’s totally bizarre.

Being such a progressive country, you don’t really expect such a conservative mentality from China.

However, that’s exactly the case.

Now I know what you’re thinking, can’t you just use a Best VPN service to get past all the restrictions?

Well, yes and no.

While some VPNs are capable of unblocking geo-restricted contents in China, not every VPN service is going to work there.

Since China uses deep packet inspection, it’s almost impossible to find a China-friendly VPN.

To save you guys from a whole lot of China-related headache and possibly help my friend, I’ve managed to shortlist two (2) Best VPNs for Chongqing.

If you want to check out other VPN services that you can use all over China, you might find my best VPN for China blog useful.

Best VPN for Chongqing according to Reddit

If you ask me, I’d only suggest using either NordVPN or ExpressVPN.

However, I still feel we should check out some of the VPNs the community is referring for Chongqing.

And what better place to do that then Reddit.

In the world where online communities are moving towards borderless global infrastructure, China is taking a very blunt and backward approach at segregating itself from the rest of the world.

The Great Firewall of China is a major buzz kill for internet freedom fighters.

However, there is still a silver lining here…

There are still fairly cheap online tools that are capable of bypassing the toughest of geo restrictions.

Nord & ExpressVPN are not only Best VPN for Chongqing but can be used pretty much anywhere in China and across the world.

So, did the above-mentioned VPNs worked for you? Let me know in the comments.
