PrivateVPN Speed Test

Want to know if PrivateVPN's fast? Can you stream, game and torrent with it? Check out this article where I conduct an in-depth PrivateVPN speed test on 9 different servers worldwide. Results may shock you.

PrivateVPN might not be as popular as ExpressVPN, NordVPN, or Surfshark, however, once I tested it out, I was seriously impressed by its speeds.

Despite only offering 100 servers in 60 countries, PrivateVPN managed to output noteworthy speeds on almost all of its servers. Though I do have to admit that some server locations showed “Time out error” and some didn’t offer any internet connectivity at all (check out our PrivateVPN not working guide for troubleshooting tips).

In order to extensively test out PrivateVPN in terms of speed, I performed the PrivateVPN speed tests using nine (9) different server locations scattered worldwide. Check more Best VPN tested and recommended by us in 2021.

A bit about PrivateVPN

PrivateVPN is a super underrated VPN. Let me tell you why. It offers 100 servers in 60 countries that are capable of unblocking geo-blocked streaming services like Hulu, Amazon Prime, Netflix, and more.

Aside from working with streaming services, it also actually offers optimized P2P servers. You can anonymously download torrents with PrivateVPN too.

How great is that?

In addition, it offers apps for almost all operating systems. Aside from using it on your phone or laptop, you can even set up PrivateVPN on your FireStick devices, Roku and Kodi too.

Best of all, PrivateVPN is super affordable. Its subscription plans start from just $2.55/mo. In addition, it also offers a generous free trial so you can test out the service risk-free. That’s not all. This VPN also comes with a few other bells and whistles which you can check out in our in-depth PrivateVPN review.

Wrapping up!

Once I was done with the PrivateVPN speed test, I was super impressed by the way it performed. If you take a look at the table at the starting of this article, you’ll notice that only the Austrian server showed a massive drop in the upload speed, however, other servers managed to output speeds in the upper 80s and 90s.

If we talk about real-world usability experience, then PrivateVPN is definitely fast. The whole time I was testing, it never ever felt like anything was burdening down my internet speeds. I easily managed to download large torrent files and stream HD Netflix content with PrivateVPN. But in case you feel like PrivateVPN is not the right choice for you, then you can always cancel your PrivateVPN subscription and get a refund.
