5 Handpicked Torrent VPN (Tested for Unlimited P2P Downloading)

Reading Time: 12 minutes

For those of you who are new to the concept of torrents, it is a pretty efficient file sharing technology capable of downloading large files at fraction of the speed of traditional server based file sharing.

Although a blessing in disguise, it has a lot of negative stigma associated with it.

Why…?

Well because torrenting or P2P file sharing is infamous for sharing copyright digital media.

With that said:

Copyright infringement can have serious consequences depending on what part of the world you reside in. However, as a general consensus, you can expect either a notice from your ISP or even a lawsuit from your friendly neighborhood copyright troll.

Therefore, the only logical way of overcoming this frustration is through a Torrent VPN, preferably one that does not keep logs.

In this blog, I’m going to list 5 of the best VPN for BitTorrent that offer the best value for money. But before we delve into that, why not also check out our Torrent Guide and how to Check Torrent IP blog.

What is VPN for Torrenting?

What-is-VPN-for-Torrenting

Since torrenting is a relatively sensitive issue, it is wise that we take some sort of privacy measure to secure our backs. Speaking of which a simple tool like VPN can offer a sigh of relief for relentless torrenters.

A torrent friendly VPN (Virtual private Network) is an anonymity software that utilizes strong encryption and network protocols to create a virtual barrier around you, securing you from hackers and sweeping your torrenting trail under the rug.

Torrenting over VPN can not only keep your identity totally discrete but also give you access to all sorts of globally geo restricted contents.

If you want to learn how to torrent with VPN, definitely stick around.

Our reasons to pick the above 5 Best Torrent VPN

Every internet user has different needs. Some prefer fast speeds, while others might be willing to compromise speed over encryption and privacy. Now considering all VPNs are not designed the same, it is crucial that we pick the one that fits our needs and lifestyle.

The reason why I feel the above mentioned VPN providers are perfect for all sorts of users is because they offer a perfect blend of features, speed, encryption and price. Arguably, there are tons of other factors to consider, however these are the basics that make up a premium VPN service.

With that said, if you do prefer a VPN that is free, then read our blog on free VPN for torrenting as well.

Why do You Need a VPN for downloading Torrents?

As I said earlier, people have varying needs, if your priority is to bypass geo-restricted contents than a safe torrenting VPN might not be for you. After all, you can get past restriction with any VPN or even with a mere proxy.

However, we cannot overlook the fact that virtually every torrenter has at some point considered or used a VPN to cover up their torrenting trail. This is because, torrenting is still highly regarded illegal despite the fact it has many legal uses.

For instance, you might be either into pirating stuff or sharing your latest creation with the rest of the world, at the end of the day it all comes down to you, whether you want to use it legally or illegally you are ultimately responsible for it.

However, in order to avoid legal notices, copyright lawsuits and all sorts of potential headache you should definitely consider torrenting over a VPN. By masking your ISP allocated IP with a VPN, you can download torrents without spooking the attention of the authorities.

Get a VPN

Common problem with most VPN services

Even though many VPNs in the industry boast extravagant claims of online privacy, most of them do not live up to the hype. In fact, in my own testing of AstrillVPN I found major privacy flaws, despite it being a paid version.

Before I purchased the paid subscription of AstrillVPN, I made sure to check out the entire feature this provider had to offer. However after doing some testing I found that this VPN in fact leaked IP and DNS like there was no tomorrow.

I honestly loved this VPN because of its fast speeds and P2P compatibility; however, IP leaks were very disappointing for me as it rendered the whole idea of a VPN useless.

While I found flaws with my personal VPN, I was intrigued to carry out further research. I was astonished to find an in-depth report containing statistical data of IP leaks found in multiple VPNs for Android. According to the report 84% of Android VPN torrent applications, leaked IP addresses which would make one consider the whole purpose of the application.

Another deceiving tactic that most VPN providers use is the over exaggeration of the term “no logs”, while I did came across some providers that genuinely protected user privacy, there were some that straight up lied.

For instance TunnelBear claims that they offer no log policy however when you read their privacy policy you will find that they actually log quite a lot of information.

How to Choose the Best P2P VPN

Torrenting and P2P is one feature that most VPN providers often disassociate with their service. In fact, some providers go to great lengths to restrict torrenting on their encrypted servers. Now we all know it is done to avoid copyright legalities, however most of us do not consider how resource demanding torrenting and P2P can be.

You see… when you download any torrent file, it doesn’t just downloads, in fact the same amount of data is constantly uploaded (seeded) for other peers. This obviously consumes a lot of bandwidth, which is a major red flag for VPN providers.

With that said, there are many torrent VPN services in the industry that do support torrenting. However, there are some factors you must consider before choosing a P2P VPN. Some of them are listed below.

  • Must offer dedicated torrenting servers.
  • Must offer no data logging policy.
  • Must offer private IP address.
  • Must offer limitless bandwidth.
  • Must offer solid encryption
  • Must offer internet kill switch.

This is How You Are Caught While Torrenting

Technically speaking, neither seeding nor leeching fall into a general criminal code, in fact supposed violators can be prosecuted under varying criminal penal codes. Think of it this way, if you download copyrighted file for personal use it would technically have less repercussions as opposed to making that file available for other.

Speaking of prosecutions, the actual chance of you spending a night in prison is although slim; however, court settlements and fines are quite normal nowadays.

Now you might be wondering how someone can get caught while downloading torrents. Well it is quite simple in fact; even an average Joe like you can do it.

If you torrent without VPN and you add a torrent file to your torrent client, your IP address, country, and the torrent client you use, becomes visible to everyone. By monitoring all the IPs that are downloading and uploading the same torrent file, copyright trolls are able to trace your actual location. Once they know where you are situated, they can take legal actions against you.

Factors to Look for When Choosing VPN Provider

Factors-to-Look-for-When-Choosing-Torrent-VPN Provider

There are certain features that you should look for when selecting the best VPN for torrenting. Although most top VPN providers, should offer features necessary for torrenting, however it is still necessary to verify every one of them individually.

Speed

Speed is pretty much the necessity of every torrenter, so much so that without proper download and upload speeds torrenting would be nothing more than a headache. Another thing worth mentioning is that even though you might be getting adequate speeds, it is important to make sure it remains that way. This is because; not only ISPs but also VPN providers can throttle bandwidth depending on your usage. Therefore, it is important to consider only the best torrent VPN service that does not include speed caps in their service.

Bandwidth

Bandwidth throttling can be a nightmare for torrenters. Have you ever experienced a sudden drop in download speed, after downloading files up to a certain data limit? Generally, VPN providers throttle bandwidth to avoid overloaded servers. This results in a degraded downloading and streaming experience. Having said that, a premium torrent VPN service generally does not use cheap tactics like bandwidth throttling.

Security Protocol

Secure tunneling protocols are the mandatory requirement for safe and anonymous torrenting. The L2TP/IPsec tunneling protocol with 256-bit encryption ensures top-notch protection while you seed or leech torrents from different sites. On another hand, PPTP protocol only offers 128-bit standard encryption that is not preferred for torrenting.

The above-mentioned VPN services do in fact offer L2TP/IPsec protocol along with other secure protocols so you get the best out of torrents safely and securely.

Wide Spread Servers Locations

A VPN with broad range of servers dotted across various regions offer better overall torrenting experience. As a torrent site that may be available in one country may be restricted in other. In addition to that, torrenters often face server congestion issue that results in sluggish downloading. To get rid of such issues, you can connect to a server that is near your region. It will ensure seamless torrent downloads with zero ping spikes or speed issues.

Data Logging Policy

When it comes to VPN and data logging, there is always a bit of confusion, which is why many VPN services often falsely use the term “no logs” just as a marketing gimmick. In reality, almost every VPN provider keep log to some degree, it is just that some do it quite extensively.

The frustrating part is that most VPN providers have to comply with law-enforcement agencies, which can jeopardize the privacy of its users. Therefore, it is important to not fall for marketing stunts and actually verify provider’s data logging policies.

Internet Kill Switch

An internet kill switch is a must have feature in any safe torrenting VPN. It ensures that a user’s IP address is never disclosed on the internet, in case the VPN connection drops (disconnects). To ensure identity protection, it immediately kills the internet connection when your VPN accidentally disconnects, allowing no traffic to flow through your network.

Moreover, if the internet kill switch is disabled, your device automatically connects to the internet revealing your original IP address & location. This makes you vulnerable to all kinds of cyber threats, ISP deep packet inspection and State surveillance. Therefore, VPN services with the Internet kill switch feature are highly recommended for torrent users.

NAT Firewall

In simplest terms, a NAT Firewall assigns all your devices a unique IP Address so when these devices connect to the internet using your router, it automatically authorizes known devices but restricts unauthorized devices from connecting to your network”.

The firewall discards unrecognized IP packets, restricting malicious IP packets from accessing your private network. The only limitation with NAT Firewall is that, when you torrent with VPN, the encrypted tunnel between you and the VPN server passes through NAT firewall. This makes NAT firewall unable to read the data as it is encrypted.

However, the best VPN for torrenting listed in this blog offer NAT firewall that works perfectly in conjunction with VPN connections, filtering all the traffic that flows through your network.

Port Forwarding

A NAT Firewall may offer robust benefits but users have reported frequent issues while using NAT for torrents and P2P file sharing. In addition, NAT firewall can significantly reduce your download speed. However, this issue can be resolved by Port Forwarding, which allows torrent traffic to pass through a specific port in NAT Firewall. The best VPN services mentioned in this guide offer port forwarding, that will allow you to download torrents faster from anywhere in the world.

Which VPN provider’s leak IP Addresses while torrenting?

Which-torrent-VPN-provider’s-leak-IP-Addresses-while-torrenting

As I said, earlier not every VPN service supports P2P, in fact, many of them that do support it, often leak IP and DNS address of its users. This is something that should not be taken lightly; after all, the whole purpose of a VPN is to hide your identity and what good is a VPN if it cannot even do that properly.

If you opt a VPN provider that does actively leak IPs, it can result in all sorts of technical issues. However, in my quest to find the best torrent VPNs, I have tested various aspects of multiple VPNs including IP leaks.

The most common types of leaks associated with VPNs are:

  • DNS leaks
  • Extension leaks
  • WebRTC and IP leaks

VPNs that are infamous for leaking IPs

Testing VPNs for leaks is nothing difficult; in fact, it is quite easy. There are many tools that you can use to verify if your VPN is leaking IP. For testing purposes, I used the following online tools.

  • https://dnsleak.com

After evaluating multiple VPN services, more than half of them leaked IPs, which is quite alarming to say the least. Below I have listed some of the VPNs that failed my IP leak test.

  • Zenmate
  • Ra4w VPN
  • SecureVPN
  • DotVPN
  • ht
  • VPN Gate
  • BTGuard
  • Touch VPN
  • Hoxx VPN
  • AzireVPN

How can I check my Torrent IP Address?

How-can-I-check-my-Torrent-vpn-IP-Address

When you use a torrent friendly VPN, you should technically see a different IP than your default one. However, if you are not sure how to check your torrent IP, then you can simply use a free open source tool like IPMagnet for easy and quick verification.

  • Simply head onto their website and download the magnet link through your torrent client.
  • Wait a few seconds and you should be able to see your torrent IP, your default IP along with timestamp and torrent client.
  • To verify if your torrent IP is working, make sure your torrent IP is different from your default one.

Copyright laws across the globe

Copyright-laws-across-the-globe-torrent-vpn

Different geographic regions around the world have their own set of rules and regulations regarding torrenting. Some countries completely over look torrenting as a matter of concern, however other countries enforce strict regulations with an iron fist.

CountryLaws
United States of AmericaSharing or downloading copyright content without consent is illegal in the united states as with many other countries. This is considered a serious offence and can be punishable by law. However, copyright free material is permissible to use even if it is downloaded through peer-to-peer protocol.
United KingdomSharing or downloading copyright content without consent is illegal in the united Kingdom as well. Users who are caught torrenting can expect low bandwidths and legal notices from copyright holders.
IndiaSharing or downloading copyright content without consent is illegal in India. Users who are caught pirating digital content can be fined for 300,000₹ and a lengthy prison sentence.
CanadaSharing or downloading copyright content without consent is illegal in Canada, but there are no potential fines or criminal prosecutions involved. However, your torrenting data will be saved, giving your ISP legal right to throttle your internet bandwidth.
AustraliaSharing or downloading copyright content without consent is illegal in Australia as well. The Australian government has stepped up their torrent blocking campaign however; copyright holders still usually push piracy lawsuits since the Australian Anti-piracy laws are quite primitive.
GermanySharing or downloading copyright content without consent is illegal in Germany. Regulatory authorities can impose fines up to €1000 on individuals who are caught pirating

Taking Down & Removal of Popular Torrent Websites

Copyright infringement has become a serious issue over the past few years. One of the strongest actions to control free-file sharing on the internet was taken in 2011, when Google removed auto-fill options for specific terms leading to file sharing websites like Rapidshare, Megaupload and HotFile.

This tactic was a major success and deeply affected the torrenting community. Search engines celebrated along with record labels, independent artists, game developers and movie creators by having a sense of security for their intellectual properties.

With that said file-sharing websites and torrent, software’s like BitTorrent and uTorrent  were not the only one to suffer. The real loss occurred to internet users who were heavily dependent on peer-to-peer file sharing networks.

However, anytime there is a restriction, there is always an alternative waiting right around the corner. In the case of torrent sites, many proxy and mirror sites of popular website do exist, which is a source of relief for many torrenters.

This works for some people, but most users do suffer from snail-paced downloading speeds and frequent proxy interruptions due to heavy traffic on proxy sites. However, such issues can be truly mitigated only with the help of best torrent VPNs.

Consequences of Torrenting without a VPN

Consequences-of-downloading-Torrents without-a-VPN

Torrent and VPN go hand in hand. No matter where you stand regarding torrenting, sharing intellectual property is still illegal. Therefore, if you still download torrents without any privacy measure then you are seriously playing with fire.

For instance, back in 2009 a university student found himself in a slew of legal trouble after being caught red handed while illegally downloading and sharing 30 songs. This might not sound like a big deal for many, however for Joel Tenenbaum it was more than a living nightmare.

Eventually the court ordered Tenenbaum to pay $675,000 in fines for the damage he caused based on the US copyright law. While this case is sickening to hear, it also serves as a life lesson for many naive torrenters. If only he had used a VPN for downloading those few songs, he could have avoided it all.

Which Server to choose from for P2P downloading?

When torrenting over VPN, servers have a significant impact over performance. Therefore, it is important to understand what impact certain servers have and how they can improve your torrent sharing experience. However, for the sake of simplicity I am going to discuss some factors you should consider while choosing optimal P2P servers.

Server location: Although not necessary, but as a general rule of thumb you should consider a VPN server that does not fall in your county’s jurisdiction. Not only will this tactic allow you to access more diverse content but also deceive any unsuspected prying eyes.

Torrent friendly countries: Another factor that most torrenters often overlook is the location of the servers. Since many countries do not permit torrenting, it is important to connect to a server in a torrent friendly country.

  • Switzerland
  • Hong Kong
  • Spain
  • Mexico
  • Netherlands

The above-mentioned countries are perfect for torrenting, as they do not have strict torrenting regulations. Similarly, you must avoid servers from U.S and the U.K.

Torrent optimized servers: While location and distance are known to have a significant impact on torrenting speeds, torrent optimized servers always also play an important role. Although the whole theory of “the closer you are to a server the faster the speeds” is true, optimized P2P servers are significantly faster and stable than regular servers. In fact, in one case I got twice as fast speeds when connected to an optimized server.

Which VPN Protocols to select for Torrenting

By now, you must have decided which VPN providers you want to go with, therefore I think it is about time we discuss VPN protocols as well. However, if you are new to VPNs and protocols, think of them as the fuel that drives the engine. In short, protocols are responsible for all the data transmission that takes place between you and the VPN server.

While one protocol might be superior to the other, there are going be situations where superiority only depends upon the type of task you are conducting. Generally, there are five VPN protocols that are dominating the industry, which I am going to list below.

  • OpenVPN
  • IKEv2
  • L2TP/IPsec
  • SSTP
  • PPTP

FAQs

A large number of users have inquired on various forums about issues, concerns, and implications of a torrent VPN. To offer the most suitable response to your queries, we have created a comprehensive section for frequently asked questions (FAQs):

Torrenting is the process through which a file is transferred between different users on a P2P network. The process works on BitTorrent protocol, which allows multiple users to download and share files simultaneously.

It works by breaking large portion of files into small chunks and distributing them amongst multiple peers on a distributed network. If you want to learn, more about how torrents work then check our detailed guide: What is Torrenting & How it Works.

Torrenting is probably the easiest thing you will ever come across. All you need is a good internet connection, best VPN for privacy and a torrenting client.

Here’s how you can start torrenting:

  • Download a torrent client (such as uTorrent).
  • Once the client is downloaded, search for the desired torrent file on any torrent site and download it.
  • Similarly, you can also use the magnet links to add the torrent file to your client
  • Finally, you can tweak up your torrent client settings and prioritize each download according to your personal preference.

P2P or “Peer to Peer” VPN services is generally an encrypted tunnel between your device and the internet. Some of the features offered by P2P VPN include top-grade anonymity, robust tunneling protocols, P2P supported servers, zero logging policy and much more. You can refer to our exclusive guide on leading-edge P2P VPN services for an in-depth look at each provider.

If you have opted only the best VPN services for torrenting like the ones mentioned above in this blog, then yes it is absolutely safe to download torrents. Top VPN services not only allow you to download torrents faster but also offers:

  • Encrypted browsing
  • IP masking
  • Anti-tracking
  • Bypass geo restrictions
  • Torrenting

Trackers are a fundamental component of torrenting. It is through trackers that you are able to transfer file between peers on distributed P2P networks. That said there are two types of trackers: private and public.

Now you might be wondering what is the difference between the two.

Well… public trackers are open to everyone, therefore known as open trackers. You can easily add these trackers to your torrent client. Some popular public trackers include Public BitTorrent and OpenBitTorrent. However, the downside of these trackers is that copyright trolls can supposedly use them to monitor unsuspected torrenters, which does make it quite unsecure.

Private trackers on the other hand can only be used by specified users and are restricted for unauthorized use. In order to use private trackers, you would need to register to a particular website. However, registrations are only handed out through invitations sent by active members of the website. Private trackers are known to be more secure as not everyone has access to such trackers. This makes them faster and safer when compared to public trackers.

Torrenting Comparison of Renowned VPNs

Very few VPN services actually support P2P let alone guarantee complete anonymity and even those that do support it offer it on miniscule amount of servers.

A VPN service optimized for torrenting should offer the least amount of resistance against external threats while boasting freedom. The number one thing to check in any VPN service is their logging policy. You should only opt for a VPN services that guarantees no data logging no matter the circumstance.

With that said finding such VPN providers is not easy, that is why I have compared multiple renowned VPN providers in a table below for your convenience.

can we use free vpn for torrenting ? Its only that their servers are limited but they do provide the same encryption levels such as the paid ones. One such example is ProtonVPN

  2. Emelie says:

How does AirVPN compare to PureVPN…..? please reply. And, Thankyou for reading.

    • VPNRanks says:

      Hi Troy,

Thanks for your comment. As far as comparing AirVPN with PureVPN goes, there’s a lot of difference between the two. PureVPN has servers in over 140 countries whereas AirVPN has only a handful of servers. If we compare the prices, then PureVPN also has an edge over AirVPN. On the contrary, AirVPN and PureVPN offer similar security measures: OpenVPN protocol and AES 256 bit encryption.

However, both VPN providers support P2P file sharing. We tested PureVPN and found its performance to be much better than AirVPN. So, if you’re looking for a VPN to use with torrents, then give PureVPN a try.

  5. Andressa says:

Canada is widely acclaimed for a massive number of internet users than any other country. Being a mainstream region for tech geeks, Canadians love to stream videos online. However, popular Canadian channels are geo-restricted outside Canada, meaning that users can’t access Bravo, CBC, Sportsnet and Canal De from outside Canada. To get away with restrictions, Canada VPN provides instant access to all Canadian channels from anywhere in the world. However, I haven’t tried BTGuard yet but I would suggest users to get a decent Canada VPN like Express VPN and Ivacy for top-notch privacy, anonymity and accessibility.

  6. Mathew says:

I am located in New Jersey and torrenting is among my favorite activities. I usually search for torrents of latest movies and Netflix TV shows. And for secure torrenting I selected NordVPN.
But last week when I received copyright infringement notice from my ISP. I was surprised and annoyed at the same time, as VPN didn’t work for me and DNS leak occured. Right now I want to know that does NordVPN provide Internet Kill Switch? and what’re some decent VPN services that offer responsive Internet Kill Switch?

    • VPNRanks says:

      Dear Mathew thanks for commenting,
Usually ISPs send copyright infringement notices when a user is found downloading or accessing licensed material from internet.
When it comes to safe and anonymous torrenting, PureVPN, NordVPN and BufferedVPN comes at top. These VPN services offer strong tunelling protocols to ensure 101% protection against copyright trolls, ISP surveillance and infringement notices. You can freely use any of the specified torrent VPN for safe and secure torrenting.

  7. Aditya says:

Torrenting is one of the lovable activities I prefer during weekends. But due to strict copyright laws in Connecticut, I was unable to visit torrent sites. Not to forget, ISPs over here send notices even when a flagged site is visited. Considering the situation, this article helped me a lot into bypassing the imposed geo-restrictions and downloading torrents anonymously from within Connecticut.

  8. Christopher says:

I like to torrent my favorite TV shows most of the times. However, I do not choose torrents for downloading softwares, due to the risk of getting infected by malwares. So I was searching for a decent torrent VPN and came up with Hide.me. But to be honest, Hide.me didn’t come up to my expectations and eventually I had to request for a refund.
After reading reviews and conducting in-depth research, I came up with PIA. The service satisfied me well with a robust protection and anonymity for secure torrenting. Cheers to PIA !

  9. Jake says:

I use nordvpn and the 28mbps in the article is not accurate…

Downloading a torrent currently with 40mbps.

    • VPNRanks says:

      Hi Jake,

Thanks for your feedback. The download speeds can vary from user to user, and also depends on the server and protocol selected. We tried NordVPN while being connected to a server based in USA and using OpenVPN protocol. Can you please let us the know server location and protocol you used while downloading torrents with NordVPN? Thanks again!

  10. shrinivas says:

Never go for Ivacy VPN ! They provide a pathetic service.
I subscribed to their services on June 2016 for one year @ $1.83 PM. For six months everything worked well, so I extended their service for 2 more years. Then the problems started, the nearest servers would fail and I had to always rely on distant servers with a very high ping and low speeds. Their P2P services have become terrible ! Their customer service is pathetic ! They tell you to do this and that and probably never understand what our problem is.
And another irritating thing is they do not give refunds, even for the period starting from December 2016 !
I do not know how to get the refund !

  11. Olivia Wilde says:

I’m currently using a different VPN, but PIA has been catching my attention for a while. I want to know that if I can use the VPN service without downloading their app, i.e. through manual configuration on mobile or PC.

  12. atiqah hasiholan says:

I prefer torrent for watching TV shows, movies and popular videos. However, I suggest users stay away from torrent software as it can spread malware on your system. So, I was in search of a decent VPN for a reliable protection while torrenting, and eventually I came up with PureVPN. With a range of strong encryption protocols (L2TP\IPSec) and wallet-friendly plans, it is the safest and economical solution for P2P downloads.

  13. Alice Paul says:

In some cases torrenting is very risky because I personally have received a notice from DMC. However, I won’t go into the details but I would highly recommend that you don’t download torrents with a free VPN. In fact, you should read the detailed policy of torrenting before choosing any VPN because some providers may provide your credentials when asked by authorities. While others burn the records for providing 100% security and privacy to their users. That’s why I am currently using ExpressVPN and I am very much satisfied with its service.

    • Danni baird says:

Yes, @Alice i also have to face the similar issue, in fact, i was very annoyed when I received a infringement notice first time in my life, although I usually take proper steps to make my torrenting private and for this purpose I normally use peer block and cyber ghost free vpn whenever I did torrent, well it was very frustrating moment when I received another notice and then my friend tell me that paid vpns provide 9 times much better protection than free ones. However according to above mentioned table I taking account from ivacy and I hope It will work better.

      • nicholas kane says:

Yeah, I am totally agree with your statement that paid VPNs provide 9 times better protection then free VPNs.

  14. Martin says:

One of the major reasons why people recommend VPN over proxies is that torrent clients reveal your true location and leak information while using proxy. Although, the latest version of torrent clients are designed to do a better job at this but I personally don’t trust proxy services. They can be unreliable and fail to protect you while using torrents. I would rather stick with a VPN just because of this. Currently, I am using PIA (Private Internet Access) but I have also heard good reviews about PureVPN.

  15. Kailee says:

Several VPN providers permit the best torrenting services and many people use VPN services for downloading torrent with complete anonymity and security. The best part of torrenting with VPN that you can’t tracked or caught anyone because its keep your credential secure / hide so no DMCA notice you will have to receive, however from the above mentioned comparison table I choose PureVPN.

  16. Michael Martin says:

Before selecting any VPN, it is very important to read the logs and privacy policy of the provider. This is because some providers do not support torrents or P2P file sharing. That’s why it is important to have some knowledge about how a provider might affect your privacy before you use it for torrenting.

  17. Robert Brown says:

It is a perfect list of best torrent VPN. I am living in North America and just a couple of days before I bought a VPN from your website, especially for torrenting, I am very happy to say that it is working like a charm. No drop in speed as you have mentioned in you purevpn review. In fact I am also watching BBC iPlayer with this account.

  18. Richard White says:

From the last couple of months I am using Purevpn for torrenting and I am very satisfied with its services. In fact the good things are that it support responds within few minutes after my initial query. But you didn’t mention PIA over here because it is also a good torrent vpn but its prices are high than purevpn.

  19. Deborah Jones says:

VPN is surely most-suitable option to use torrent, it cloaks my original IP address when downloading files from torrent. In this way no one identifies me. Thumbs up to the author ! keep up the good work.

  20. Elijah says:

Torrent is like a bucket full of gold. I remember the time when I downloaded Transformers, Wolf of Wall Street and Ironman from the torrent, until I received this copyright infringement notice. I searched the internet to continue using the torrents as I can’t afford spending hundreds of dollar on movies. So, I came up with VPN, VPN has enabled me to download unlimited movies on monthly basis. Thanks for sharing such a good post!

  21. Margaret Allen says:

PirateBay is blocked in the place where I live, and it sucks! It’s been months, and unfortunately, I have been trying to find a solution but always leave with little to no success. But today, thanks to this blog I was finally able to access PirateBay with the help of a Torrent VPN. Great work on the blog, gentlemen. I hope you guys keep doing your work straight.

  22. James William says:

I don’t know if there is any alternate available to this, but this is the best solution for me and my torrennting needs. It is kind of complicated for an average user like me, though you’ll get along with a torrent VPN in no time. Thanks to you guys, I’m now torrenting files like I used to back in the day. Cheers!

  23. Paula Lerner says:

Hi, Thanks for all your help. I chatted with one of the above, inquiring about P2P in the USA.
“P2P/File-sharing is not allowed on servers of countries where it’s illegal by law to do so such as United Kingdom (UK), United States (US), Canada, Australia etc…….
File-sharing is allowed, but only on specific selected servers……..”
Confused now. I will be able to access those specific servers?
Thank you also for the in depth guide for Mac.
    Paula

    • VPNRanks says:

Hi Paula, thanks for the question. File sharing is indeed under fire in countries like the US, UK, Canada and Australia. But you can engage in P2P/File-sharing activity from these countries by connecting to the VPN servers of the countries where File Shharing is legal. As long as you don’t engage in any copyright infringements, you have nothing to worry about. However, anti-file-sharing measures are usually very limited and are usually always preceeded by rather harmless warning notices by the ISP so you have a bit of a margin in case you ever get flagged during a P2P session in the event of a worst case scenario.
I hope I managed to help you out. Do feel free to get back to me if you’ve got any more questions. Cheers!
