CyberGhost’s in-depth speed test for 2022

In order to get an idea of how CyberGhost would perform on different servers, I tested it out using nine (9) different server locations. Testing all servers, however, would be impossible as CyberGhost offers 6200 VPN servers worldwide. Anyways, here’s how my testing went.

1. Australia


First up, I tested the speeds of CyberGhost with my 100 Mbps connection. When connected to the Australian server, I managed to get a download speed of 45.14 Mbps, an upload speed of 87.25 Mbps, and a ping of 166 ms.

2. Canada


With the Canadian server, my download speed improved by a lot. I managed to get a download speed of 67.17 Mbps, an upload speed of 80.09 Mbps, and pings of around 218 ms.

3. Germany


With the German server, I managed to get a download speed of 63.67 Mbps, an upload speed of 64.5 Mbps, and 141 ms pings.

4. Hong Kong


Next, I wanted to see how CyberGhost would perform on an Asian server. With the Hong Kong server location, I managed to get a download speed of 72.47 Mbps, an upload speed of 73.25 Mbps, and 256 ms pings.

5. India


After that, I connected to the Indian server of CyberGhost and ran the test. Surprisingly, I managed to only get a download speed of 69 Mbps, an upload speed of 75.55 Mbps, and pings of around 222 ms.

6. Italy


With the Italian server of CyberGhost, I managed to get a download speed of 54.67 Mbps and an upload speed of 64.44 Mbps. As for ping, I noted that down at 273 ms.

7. United Kingdom


While connected to the United Kingdom server, I managed to get a download speed of around 58.51 Mbps, an upload speed of 71.09 Mbps with 148 ms ping. That’s not bad at all if you ask me.

8. United States


Next up, I connected to a US server location. After running the test, at max, I managed to get a download speed of 73.41 Mbps and an upload speed of around 73 Mbps with 255 ms ping.

9. United Arab Emirates


Last but not least, I tested the speeds of CyberGhost while connected to the UAE server.  After running the test, CyberGhost managed to output a download speed of 77.88 Mbps. As for upload speed, I managed to get 80.15 Mbps with 240 ms ping.

So, after finishing my CyberGhost speed test for 2022, I can confirm that CyberGhost is in fact quite fast. During my testing, only the Australian server delivered a downloading speed in the 40s.
