Windscribe VPN Review 2019

Windscribe offers a conducive freemium plan along with a costly $4.08/mo price. It has 450+ servers in 60+ countries reliable for Netflix and torrenting. Windscribe has attained 3.2 stars rating.

Based inCanada [UNSAFE]

Windscribe is an online privacy provider with both free and paid plans. Its free plan comes with a generous 10GB bandwidth cap.

The Canadian VPN service offers 450+ servers in 60+ countries and offers various benefits such as Netflix unblocking, torrenting support, internet kill switch, static IPs, and compatibility.

However, there are some cons as well that have hampered its reputation to certain degree.

It is based in five eyes country and does not offer an appealing refund policy procedure.

Their pricing plans are also on the higher side. You can subscribe to its monthly pricing plan at the cost of $9.00.

On the other hand, you will need to pay $4.08 if you wish to use its yearly plan on monthly basis.

This is the reason I do not recommend Windscribe.

On a side note, you can refer to other 150+ unbiased VPN reviews to discover which VPN is the best match for your online freedom.

Let’s start.

My Rating Criteria

I have analyzed Windscribe as per my own rating criteria mentioned as under:

Pricing – What is the cost of Windscribe?

Besides offering a freemium version, Windscribe delivers relatively expensive pricing plans to its users.

Windscribe pricing structure is segregated into free and premium plans.

There are three paid plans named as Monthly, Yearly and Build a Plan.

Subscribers can either choose a $4.08/month plan that is billed yearly at $49.00, while the other plan is billed monthly at $9.00.

Furthermore, build a plan is available at a cost of $1.00 per month.

Interestingly, paid plans have no discrimination among devices, server destinations, bandwidth, protocols and P2P support.

However, freemium plan or Windscribe Limited comes with some limitations that I have discussed earlier in this Windscribe review.

Through ScribeForce, you can fulfill all the privacy needs of your family under one package.

Furthermore, you can avail such pricing plan for official purposes.

In case you want to secure all the online activities of your team, ScribeForce is a go-to option.

Users must remember that every member of the team is liable to pay $3.00 on monthly basis.

Payment Methods

Payment methods play a key role at the time of subscription.

The service keeps subscription phase easy by accepting payments from all leading credit cards including Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

Also, readers of this review will be glad to know the service also accepts anonymous payments through bitcoin, keeping subscribers’ identity discreet and anonymous.

PayPal and Paymentwall are two other payment options.

Money-Back Guarantee/Refund Policy

In addition to the free version, the service offers a generous 3 days money-back guarantee.

The money-back guarantee allows users to request a refund within three days after purchasing commercial premium of the VPN.

Windscribe encourages users to test out the free service before signing up with a paid package.

Hence, their refund window is not at all extensive and has 10 GB data limit.

Security – Tunneling Protocols, Encryption, & Features

In terms of protocols and encryption, Windscribe has ticked all the required boxes correctly.

This Windscribe pro VPN review unveils that you don’t have to bother yourself when it comes to discovering about its legitimacy.

Windscribe VPN is extremely secure as it delivers OpenVPN and IKEv2 protocols. Luckily, the former one uses 256-bit military-grade encryption automatically.

The 256-bit cipher including SHA512 authentication and 4096-bit RSA key is assumed as one of the safest encryption levels.

Other Security Features

During this review, I explored some unknown privacy advantages that include:

  • R.O.B.E.R.T
  • Internet Kill Switch
  • Config Generators
  • ScribeForce
  • Port Forwarding
  • Flexible Connectivity
  • Cruise Control
  • Double Hop
  • Timezone Spoofing
  • Cookie Monster
  • Split Personality

The said feature allows you to combat malware and annoying ads on your desired devices hassle-free.

You will need to use your Windscribe account to activate R.O.B.E.R.T on your devices.

Internet Kill Switch

The Windscribe app has an efficient kill switch that disconnects you from the internet in case your VPN connection stops working suddenly.

Hence, you cannot leak your unsecure traffic to your ISP. Moreover, you can use its double-hop feature available in its Chrome browser extension.

Config Generators

Through this benefit, you can generate OpenVPN, IKEv2 and SOCKS configurations on different devices of your choice.

Windscribe has also started offering an exclusive pricing plan by the name of ScribeForce.

This way, users can avail a maximum level of online protection and anonymity on a team level.

Port Forwarding

Before using the port forwarding feature, you have to purchase a static IP first.

At present, Windscribe offers two types of static IPs. These are residential static IP and datacenter static IP.

The former works quite well as compared to datacenter static IP, it uses a residential connection that helps in blocking all sorts of blocks.

After obtaining a static IP, you are free to use port forwarding feature that allows you to access internal resources securely.

Flexible Connectivity

You can use flexible connectivity feature when it comes to connecting through IKEv2, OpenVPN UDP, TCP and stealth protocol on different ports.

Cruise Control

Through cruise control, Windscribe detects the best available location for its users automatically.

Double Hop

You may route your traffic with the help of two (2) locations on the Windscribe network instantly.

Timezone Spoofing

When you connect to a server of any particular country, this facility changes your timezone accordingly.

Cookie Monster

Cookie Monster helps you in keeping the track of cookies once you have enabled them on your browsers.

Split Personality

Split personality feature enables you to rotate your user agent to minimize the fingerprinting probability.

A user agent is a technology that recognizes what type of operating system you use.

Jurisdiction – Is Windscribe VPN safe?

The provider hails from Canada therefore, its jurisdiction is unsafe.

In this Windscribe VPN review, I learned that Canada is a part of the 5 Eyes alliance.

As you may be aware, Five Eyes are a group of countries that spy on their citizens and share their personal data.

The VPN is in within the reach of powerful spy agencies of the UK and the US.

Hence, you will have to live with the reality that Windscribe might be forced to give away your personal information.

It is a far-fetched possibility but a possibility nonetheless.

Server Spread

Windscribe has 450+ servers scattered across 60+ countries.

The numbers are not big especially when compared to the top VPN providers.

But the VPN has all the prime regions of the world covered.

Currently, some of the locations covered are the US, the UK, Canada, Hong Kong, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Switzerland, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Egypt, Turkey, South Korea, India, Australia, Japan, Mexico and more locations.

However, I attempted to connect with the Germany server on a continual basis but to no luck.

I assume it is not the only server with such issues.

I hope that the provider will look into this matter to improve the VPN service significantly.

Speed – Does Windscribe deliver Fast Speeds?

The speed tests of Windscribe blew me away.

Yes, you did not read that wrong.

I tested VPN provider on a daily basis, rarely do I come across services that blazing fast servers like Wind Scribe.

On a 30 Mbps connection, this was the recorded speed of the VPN’s US server.

The UK server was a lot slower but still workable.

Meanwhile, one of the P2P servers, Russia produced a good enough speed for downloading heavy files.

This is the part of the Windscribe free VPN review where I tell you that you are unlikely to find such speed anywhere else.

With the provided speed, you can stream high-quality videos, download Gigabytes worth of content and browse seamlessly. Although gaming will be an issue due to the high Ping rate.

Windscribe becomes an interesting choice if you want to get both speed and security under one package.

However, it does not compete with other VPNs like NordVPN in terms of affordable pricing, double encryption, servers spread and live support.

Streaming – Does it Support Netflix, Torrenting & Kodi?

Windscribe offers US Netflix streaming feature through its Windflix servers.

Ever since Netflix launched its war against VPNs, it has become harder for Netizens to get past its ridiculous geo-restrictions. The streaming service continues to discriminate on a country-to-country basis with no end in sight.

Windscribe does not unblock Netflix, not on its normal servers. But if you connect with the Windflix servers located primarily in the US and the UK, you can unlock a plethora of shows on the streaming services.

Does Windscribe Allow Torrenting?

Torrents are God’s gift to mankind. They allow us to download a variety of content with just a few clicks.

But this harmless activity is banned in many countries.

Windscribe VPN torrenting service features exclusive P2P servers from around the world.

These servers empower the netizens to download torrent without government agencies meddling in between.

Windscribe also works extraordinary with Kodi, a free open-source media player that streams Live TV videos for free.

You only need to connect Windscribe on the background and start streaming Kodi videos.

Leaks – IP, DNS, WebRTC & Virus Tests

There is no denying Windscribe is a leak-free service.

IP and DNS can expose your location to and bring unwarranted attention to your connection. Basically, DNS and IP leaks occur when the security features of the VPN are not up to the mark.

But with Windscribe at your disposal, these leaks are not concern. As my test unveils, this VPN does not leak your true identity to cybercriminals.

I tested its WebRTC leak protection through IP8.com. Luckily, it did not reveal my WebRTC data online.

Note: I connected to Hong Kong server before performing WebRTC test.

Virus Test

Similarly, I ran Windscribe Windows setup file through VirusTotal to check if it exposed any malware or not.

Fortunately, it did not reveal any viruses, malware or trojans.

Trustworthiness – Logging Policy, GDPR Compliance, Transparency, Support, & Trustpilot Reviews

As per this Windscribe VPN review, the provider has explained its logging policy in detail. Moreover, they have mentioned their logging practices on their official site too.

We don’t keep connection logs, IP timestamps, session logs, or monitor your activity. We store when you last used Windscribe as well as the total amount of bandwidth used in a 30 day period to enforce free tier limitations and prevent abuse.

In the grander scheme of things, Windscribe has done the right thing by describing its logging policy officially.

If you want to know logging policies of VPNs other than Windscribe, read this exclusive guide.

Does not follow GDPR

Windscribe has not been able to come up with the expectations of European users.

They have not started following GDPR guidelines in the right way.

However, I expect Windscribe being a privacy-conscious service would take all the necessary steps to become GDPR compliant VPN in future.

Windscribe Stance over Transparency

The VPN has provided detailed information that includes law enforcement as well as DMCA data requests on its official site.

Hence, Windscribe has made its intentions clear as the service takes its users’ privacy quite seriously.

Based on the below-mentioned stats, I am delighted to say that none of the data requests were abided by Windscribe. [Source]

You can explore the intentions of other VPNs towards transparency by reading our most transparent VPNs guide.

Questionable Support (Using Bots)

Being relatively new in the market, the service offers five modes of customer support.

These include: Email Ticketing, Setup Guides, FAQs, Knowledgebase and Live Chat.

Email Ticketing System

The email ticketing system aims to provide a solution to most complex queries of subscribers. In this review, I found this option to be convenient but it still leaves a lot to be desired.

Email queries are usually resolved within 1-2 days, making this system rather slow. This is how the ticketing system looks like.

The VPN facilitates its subscribers by offering a detailed FAQs section. The FAQs section is a single dedicated page that provides basic and general information about Windscribe.

Also, subscribers can seek information about cost, compatibility, protocols and service offerings of Windscribe.

Setup Guides

This section has step-by-step guides on how to configure the VPN on multiple platforms. It is a useful section for subscribers who wish to use the VPN on routers and Smart TV.

Automated Live Chat

Strangest thing you will learn here is that its VPN has an automated chat feature.

A glorified search bar gives you relevant links in response to your queries.

As you see above, ‘Garry’ (Windscribe bot) offers automated responses to your questions.

Ultimately, an automated bot is no replacement for a human customer agent.

Windscribe Trustpilot Reviews

Trustpilot being a customer review site provides relevant information about various VPN services.

I found that Windscribe VPN Pro review had a total of 7.5 TrustScore.

In general, users have liked the service due to numerous reasons. Some subscribers have appreciated Windscribe Android app.

On the other hand, few users have preferred Windscribe because of its freemium version.

Compatibility – Supports Major Platforms & Routers

One of the biggest strength of this is its multi-platform compatibility.

It is compatible on all leading-edge platforms including Windows, Mac, and Linux.

As per this Windscribe VPN pro review, it facilitates premium users with well-designed in-house clients for iOS and Android devices.

Additionally, it offers an exclusive extension for web browsers including Chrome, Opera, and Firefox, so that users can instantly unblock thousands of blocked sites with a single click.

It gets better.

With smart TV apps for Kodi, Amazon and Nvidia Shield, the VPN optimizes your streaming experience.

You can also configure it on router with the help of OpenVPN. Although this process is taxing, it gives you a peace of mind by securing your entire household.

Here is a little preview of how this VPN has made itself compatible on different devices.

Personal Computer (PC)

As I have mentioned before, the VPN has developed a slick and user-friendly client for Windows. Its app for Mac OSX is not too different either.

Sporting a blue design, the Windscribe for Mac arms the user against myriads of threats lurking in the internet. It also empowers them to bypass geographically based restrictions.

As for Linux, the beta version of this VPN is out in the market. It supports four different distros that include Ubunto 18.04, Debian 9, Fedora 22+ and CentOS 6+.

In this Windscribe Pro VPN review, I found that it is available on three popular smartphone devices that include Windows, Mobile, Android, and iOS.

On Android, you can either set up the VPN via IKEv2 or use its dedicated app. Of course, the app offers more convenience and is laced with additional security features. You can download the android app from Google Play in a matter of minutes.

The iOS app makes online privacy accessible with just a single tap. It is indistinguishable from the android app despite some little variations.

Meanwhile, subscribers can also configure the VPN on Windows phone by following the guide on the provider’s website.

Browser Extensions

The service takes an edge over competitors by offering a handy browser extension. Currently, Windscribe browser extensions are available for Chrome, Firefox and Opera browsers.

When installed on your browser, it gives one-touch access to thousands of blocked sites.

Windscribe browser extension looks similar to windows client but features an Ad Blocker that protects users against unwanted third party advertisements.

Windscribe Ad Blocker

Windscribe offers another nifty feature in its browser in shape of an ad blocker.

You can conduct ad-blocking functions through the help of the browser extension:

  • Untraceable- It blocks several ad trackers and beacons
  • Anti-Social- it helps you in deactivating social media buttons
  • Ad Blocker- works as a normal ad blocker

You can also whitelist specific sites to your liking through Windscribe browser extension. Surprisingly, the adblocker feature has upsides and downsides too.

I had to review Windscribe VPN just to know its Whitelister feature that isn’t available in any other VPN. Now that I have seen, it is extraordinary.

Different VPNs like NordVPN have implemented the ad blocker benefit into their VPN clients directly.

VPN routers can secure multitudes of devices from malware, phishing hacks, and other online filth. Moreover, they have you protected at all time and save you the hassle of logging in repeatedly.

Keeping that in mind, Windscribe has made its VPN compatible with DD-WRT, Tomato and ASUS routers. The step-by-step guides on the VPN’s website can help you configure it on these devices.

Hands-on Experience

The Windows app sports a greyish design that is easy on the eyes. Combine that with the user-friendly interface and you have a slick VPN client on your hands.

With a single click on the downward arrow, you can select from your preferred servers.

You can also customize the client for options such as Auto Start through the ‘Preferences’ section.

Overall, the client that does not take too long to install, has an intuitive design and can be used without much effort.

Concisely, Windscribe is more than a useful VPN service as it supports all the leading platforms including routers, Kodi, and Amazon FireStick as well.

You can easily obtain clients for Window, Mac, Android, iOS, and Linux. Furthermore, it also offers browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, and Opera.

Likewise, you can install Windscribe on routers, Kodi and other streaming platforms manually.

Do I Recommend Windscribe?

No, I don’t recommend Windscribe.

Now, I have to conclude this Windscribe VPN review here.

Free VPN remains a controversial subject.

They have been exposed many times for logging customer data and selling it to third parties for profit.

But this VPN is different. In fact, it has a squeaky-clean record of keeping absolutely no logs and prioritizing user privacy.

Windscribe is not a bad choice for Netflix streaming. Likewise, their VPN protocols and encryption levels are also impressive.

I found their compatibility feature useful and equal to the task.

On the other hand, it offers a free version named as Windscribe Limited for all those who have the desire to take a test drive of their service prior to subscription.

The free version comes with limitations, with a monthly bandwidth consumption of up to 10 GB only.

Also, only fourteen (14) server locations are offered to the users for the free service.

As compared to other free VPNs, Hotspot Shield has 15GB bandwidth cap per month.

However, Opera browser VPN and ProtonVPN don’t have such bandwidth limitations.

In my review of Windscribe, I found that Windscribe didn’t disappoint with its premium feature as well.

It delivers 256-bit encryption coupled with the standard OpenVPN tunneling protocol.

Considering its privacy features, Windscribe becomes a suitable choice for new VPN users.

There are some concerns about jurisdiction and customer service. But you may ignore its customer support performance in the grander scheme of things.

I have a serious concern with its jurisdiction because it hails from a five eyes country.

They are bound to store your data as per mandatory data retention laws.

Furthermore, the pricing factor of their premium plans is not so much conducive.

Based on the above analysis, Windscribe VPN rating is 3.2/5.0 overall.

  1. Annie says:

Gotta give it to Windscribe, they’ve done a great job when it comes to keeping their VPN at a high level of satisfaction. I did start off on the free plan but felt I needed ‘more’ which was why I decided to give it a go and upgrade to Pro. After the upgrade I felt I was getting the services I needed which is why I’d definitely recommend going Pro and paying that little extra for reliable services,. Compated to other VPN’s, Windscribe is far advanced and well maintained.

    • Usman Hayat says:

      Dear Annie,
Thanks for reaching out to us…
We are glad that you found Windscribe helpful and equal to the task.
Keep enjoying this amazing VPN and maintain your online freedom hassle-free.

  2. Kito says:

Works well. I’ve tried it in different countries as I’ve traveled a bit and I’ve never had any problems. US Netflix also works like a charm, and I’ve found the security systems to be among some of the best! It’s a good investment and one I’m glad I made.

    • Usman Hayat says:

      Dear Kito,
Thanks for reaching out and sharing your experience with us.
We are happy that you used Windscribe in different countries and unblocked US Netflix hassle-free. keep using this VPN and maintain your online freedom from anywhere.

  3. Hmm says:

Geez. Anyone who recommends PureVPN after they have been implicated in keeping identifiable logs has no credibility in my view.

  4. Sasha says:

Windscribe is a lot better if you use the pro plan. You get better speeds in my opinion but it it worth upgrading too. I guess it’s based more on how much you plan on using it? Personally, I feel Windscribe has done a good job so far. I’ve been happy with it but I do read reviews that say the opposite. I think it’s more of a trial and error for some people, try it out and see if it works good enough for you, if it does, upgrade, if you don’t like it, look elsewhere 🙂 For me it was worth the upgrade.

    • Usman Hayat says:

      Dear Sasha,
Thanks for sharing your experience with us. We are glad that you found Windscribe Pro plan helpful. You are quite that it’s a trial and error phenomenon for every user.
You have to give a try first then you can reap the rewards eventually.

  5. Chantelle says:

Excellent VPN to use. Great platform that’s easy to navigate, lots of cool features, and great speeds! You won’t get much more from other providers especially at Windscribe great price.

    • Usman Hayat says:

      Dear Chantelle,
We are happy that you liked Windscribe a lot. There is no doubt this VPN has all the right ingredients to become one of the most popular VPNs in near future.

Thanks for sharing your valuable feedback with us.

  6. Kay says:

I’ve really enjoyed using Windscribe so far! I’ve had it on my phone and laptop for almost 4 months now and I love how easy it is to navigate, and how good the speeds are. The extra level of security is a plus too! For those wondering if it’s worth upgrading, then yes it is, especially if you’re always on the go.

    • Usman Hayat says:

      Dear Kay,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
We are glad that you are using the service for quite a while now.
Keep using Windscribe and protect your privacy hassle-free.

    • Hmnm says:

I don’t know what it is about all these people posting gratuitous positive reviews about Windscribe especially complimenting their speeds.

I can’t think of any VPN ranking site (bias or otherwise) that states their speeds are good. Independent user testing supports this. Then again, perception is reality for many. So, if they think they’re getting great speeds, they believe they are.

  7. Lauren says:

Thanks for the review VPNRanks! I’ve been using Windscribe for a few months now and I must say it’s awesome! Really think this is the vpn for me. I’ve had some great speeds connections and have found the extra features all work amazingly.

    • Usman Hayat says:

We are happy that you liked the review and have been using the service for quite some time now.

Keep using Windscribe and enjoy next level anonymity hassle-free.

  8. Dylan says:

I’m a heavy windscribe user meaning I use it daily, almost all the time. It has never caused me any problems even when traveling, and i’ve had nothing but good experiences with all their services and features, plus servers and their speeds.

    • Usman Hayat says:

      Dear Dylan,
Thanks for sending your precious feedback to us.
We are happy that you are using Windscribe on a daily basis.
Keep using the service and protect your digital existence hassle-free.

  9. Samuel says:

Thanks for the helpful review! I too have tried windscribe out, and after using it for a good few months, I can happily say the vpn works perfectly. Lots of great features supporting their reliable servers.

    • Usman Hayat says:

      Dear Samuel,
      Thanks for your generous feedback.
We are glad that you found our review useful. Keep using Windscribe to secure your privacy.

  10. Rafael says:

Thanks for this awesome review! I’ve been looking for feedback online and most i’ve seen has been really positive. I downloaded Windscribe a couple of weeks ago (after reading reviews, including yours) and i’ve been really pleased with how it works. Very impressed with the overall features and the working serves. Speeds are reliable, payment methods great too. Thanks!

    • Usman Hayat says:

      Dear Rafael,
Thanks for providing your valuable feedback.
We are happy that you appreciated our efforts which we used in compiling the review.
Keep using Windscribe and enjoy its amazing features.

  11. Mark says:

Speeds are very slow with Windscribe. Often the other free providers have better speeds.

There’s only one option with the iPhone and it’s IKEv2. Should you wish to use OpenVPN, you must download the app and use it instead. The iPhone app is quite limited.

Often Windscribe support remains mum on any issues and complaints when people post in the online redditforum.

    • Usman Hayat says:

      Dear Mark,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
Yes, you are quite right to certain extent. The free versions do not offer desired speeds most of the time.
Thanks again for providing your feedback.

  12. Will says:

I used Windscribe for 2 years and cannot complain about anything. I had to contact their support exactly zero times, since everything just works.

My speed is actually slightly FASTER when connected to the VPN, I know it’s weird, but it’s true, which is why I’m confused why it’s not 5/5, especially when the reviewer was amazed himself.

    • Usman Hayat says:

      Hi Will,

Good to see you had a pleasant experience with Windscribe. No doubt Windscribe is an outstanding VPN but our rating criteria is extremely strict. We do not give 5/5 unless a VPN has everything covered.

A small issue with the VPN is its jurisdiction. Otherwise, it would have gotten 5 stars from us 🙂

  13. Dalyn H. says:

Windscribe is better than many other VPN’s, if you’re looking for the complete package. They’ve got everything from security, speed, and convenience.

  14. Bernard Emoso says:

Windscribe is definetly the hottest VPN at the moment. Great performance, great features, and very reliable connections. A lot better than other VPN’s i’ve given ago, especially speed wise. Whether it’s downloading or uploading, I’m still able to do without dying and waiting in vain. The features such as ad and tracker blockers, being able to unblokc US Netflix and other geo restriced websites is a mega plus. The level of secirity is fantastic too. Worth every cent!

    • Usman Hayat says:

      Dear Bernard Emoso,
      Thanks for your valuable feedback,
We are glad that Windscribe VPN offered you desired level of protection and anonymity.
Keep using the service and reap numerous benefits.

  15. John says:

I have used this VPN for about 2 years and has very little down time. However if you wish to watch BBC iplayer you will find it blocked by the BBC. As I dont use netflex I dont know if it works. This VPN DOES NOT leak DNS unlike fastestvpn( fastestvpn leaks in every way possible and does not seem to honor its money return). So I give windscribe 4.5/5 well worth getting and stacksocal does a good life time offer

    • Usman Hayat says:

      Dear John,
      Thanks for your valuable feedback,
We are delighted to know that you have been using the provider for the last couple of years. Keep using the service and avail maximum online protection.

  16. Jonas Saud says:

I’ve used Windscribe in Morroco, Spain, and America, and have it to be working fine. Hope that helps the prevous reviewers questions.

    • Usman Hayat says:

      Dear Jonas Saud,
      Thanks for your valuable feedback,
We are glad that you found Windscribe VPN useful and availed in different countries.
keep using the service and enjoy complete online freedom.

  17. Will says:

Really cool VPN, one that does the job well. Its speeds are very reliable and they’ve provided such a range of features you can’t go wrong when it comes to safely and securely surfing the internet.

    • Usman Hayat says:

      Dear Will,
      Thanks for the feedback,
We are glad that you liked the service and used for protecting your online privacy.

  18. Lawrence says:

I’m very happy with the Windscribe’s Pro Plan as unlimited data is something I need seeing as I use VPN’s daily. The quality of Windscribe’s VPN is amazing, and I can honestly say i’ve never come across a VPN that provides the complete package like Windscribe does.

Also, great review! It really helps when professional reviewers that fully understand how such things work, share their knowledge.

    • Usman Hayat says:

      Dear Lawrence,

      Thanks for your valuable feedback.
We are happy that you found the service quite helpful. It is heartening to see that you liked the Windscribe Pro Plan according to your own terms.

  19. Jennie says:

Perfect for everyday use, and you can’t complain when you can get it all for free. I’m still on the free plan but want to upgrade due to the data cut on the free plan. In my opinion, it’s priced fairly, especially for the services you get, making it worth every $$! Kodus to the developer!

    • Usman Hayat says:

      Dear Jannie,
Many thanks for reaching out to us. Yes, you are right if you are getting so many benefits under free plan.
You must subscribe to the paid plan to avoid data limit restrictions. Yes, the pricing looks appropriate if you compare with the services you are getting.

  20. Hannah B. says:

So far i’ve had no issues and have been really impressed with Windscribe and how it works. I’m using the free plan but was wondering if anyone knew what’s the pro plan like? Thanks in advance for any answers!

    • Janice Smith says:

Hi Hannah, the pro plan is great and it gives you the unlimited data you may need. If you’re someone that uses Windscribe on a daily basis then I would suggest you consider going prob. In my opinion, it’s totally worth it and i’ve really found it easy to use and helpful at the same time. Hope this helps!

  21. Anonymous says:

There is an error in the comparison field. 10GB/month limit is for the free, Limited plan. The paid plan is unlimited (but some say there still is a 1TB/week limit).

Hi, i’ve been using Windscribe for 5 months now and I’m a pro plan user. I’ve had unlimited access since upgrading and haven’t experienced anything regarding a 1TB/week limit. Personally, I think windscribe is great and definitely worth the upgrade in my opinion if you’re a heavy internet user,

Planning to visit Morocco for six months where need a VPN for Skype and Facetime. Is Windscribe a good choice?

    • admin says:

Thanks, Alan for visiting our site. Yes, Windscribe is working well in Morroco. This is relatively a new provider so is doesn’t have too much load on its servers. We suggest that you use a USA server for Skype and Facetime. We will be happy to answer any other question related to this or any other VPN provider.
