VPN One Click is a UAE based and cheap VPN service available at $1.99 /mo price. It offers 50+ servers worldwide that don't support Netflix and torrenting. The service has received 3.0 stars rating.

VPN One Click is an all-around privacy provider that has been working since 2011. It aims to deliver top-grade, secure & protected online experience.

The service offers a wide range of servers, which are blazing fast. Additionally, it claims to have 20 million subscribers.

The bedrock of VPN One Click popularity is its cost-effective plans that are offered by other VPNs like NordVPN or PureVPN.

However, this VPN One Click review unveils that it has a dysfunctional free trial benefit. Similarly, the service has to improve its performance in terms of multi-login big time.

Despite having a cheaper pricing strategy, the UAE based service does not support US Netflix and torrenting too. This is the reason I cannot recommend the VPN to netizens.

Once you’re done the reading, feel free to check some of our other VPN reviews as well.

Let’s begin.

My Rating Criteria

I have tested VPN One Click according to my own 8 steps criteria. This criteria includes:

  1. Pricing – How much does VPN One Click cost?
  2. Security – Protocols and Encryption
  3. Jurisdiction – Where is VPN One Click located?
  4. Speed – How fast is VPN One Click?
  5. Streaming – Does VPN One Click work with Netflix and Torrenting?
  6. Leaks – Does It leak IP, DNS, WebRTC?
  7. Trustworthiness – Logging Policy & Customer Support
  8. Compatibility – Supports Different Platforms & Devices

Pricing – How much does VPN One Click cost?

VPN One Click delivers cheap pricing plans. Unlike other VPN providers, it doesn’t offer time-based plans. Instead, the provider offers OS based plans with no discrimination among service features.

VPN One Click Pricing Policy

VPN One Click pro has offered device-based pricing plans to its users. You can subscribe to iPhone and iPad package at  $2.99/month. You will need to pay $14.99 on yearly basis to avail such plan.

Furthermore, Android Phone and Tablets package is available at the cost of $2.99/month. You may obtain its yearly package by paying $14.99.

You may attain Windows Mobile and Tablets subscription at $1.99/month or $10.99 for six months or $19.99/year. In addition, you should pay $4.99/month to subscribe to Windows Computer package. If you want to use the said plan for a year, you must pay $24.99 for once.

Similarly, you can pay $4.99/month to get Mac plan subscription. On the other hand, you may pay $14.99 for six months or $24.99 for year to avail this package.

Note: All packages offer multiple servers, all tunneling protocols, top-grade encryption, and much more.

Payment Methods

VPN One Click boasts a range of payment options. The provider entertains users of all leading Credit & Debit Cards (Master Card, Visa & American Express).

Also, the company accepts anonymous payments through PayPal and Bitcoin. Both methods are considered to be the most secure and anonymous payment options available.

Money-Back Guarantee

A fantastic benefit is subscribers can avail with VPN One Click is a 7-day money-back guarantee. The company doesn’t mention anything about it on their website.

But I inquired a customer support representative and confirmed the company’s refund policy. The provider allows a subscriber to get a full refund when a matter is irresolvable.

Free Trial Version

VPN One Click provides a limited-time free trial to subscribers who wish to test the service. The free trial version lasts for two days. You don’t need to provide your Credit Card details or other financial information.

The free version offers unlimited data and all tunneling protocols. But with servers only in Europe.

On top of that, subscribers are free to use cutting-edge features of the paid version using the free trial. It’s one of the more likable aspects of the service I have discovered in this review.

However, not all the things are rosy with One Click free-trial as I was not able to experience the said advantage appropriately.

Overall, VPN One click offers a really good package. However, if you’re looking for a little more quality at lower rates, I would suggest you to check out our handpicked list of VPN deals 2020 right now.

Security – Protocols and Encryption

The service does not offer OpenVPN protocol but has 256-bit encryption in its armory. With PPTP protocol and 128-bit encryption, VPN One Click is well-armed for geo-dodging.

The L2TP/IPSec protocol with 256-bit encryption ensures military-grade protection. It is preferred for safe torrenting. VPN One Click offers reliable encryption standards with the following protocols:

  • PPTP with 128-bit Industry Standard Encryption
  • L2TP/IPSec with 256-bit Military Grade Encryption

That said, one of the downsides that I found in this VPN One Click review was the limited protocol availability.

The VPN service does not offer OpenVPN protocol at the moment. OpenVPN is considered the fastest and most secure protocol currently available. This is an area that the VPN service should look into.

Jurisdiction – Where is VPN One Click located?

The VPN is situated in a safe jurisdiction. VPN One Click is a UAE based service. The country is not an ally of 5 eyes, 9 eyes, or 14 eyes countries. However, all the telecom companies located within the country are state-owned.

This aspect is a bit troublesome otherwise, the service is safe to use.

Decent Server Spread

VPN One Click offers various servers distributed across 41+ countries. This includes the US, UK, Australia, and Canada.

Good chunks of servers are from Europe while there is fair share of Asian ones as well.

VPN One Click Server List

With servers spread far and wide, VPN One Click provides plenty of distinctive online identities to the subscribers.

Speed – How fast is VPN One Click?

The service delivers excellent connection speeds to its users.

To test the performance claims of the service for this review of VPN One Click. I conducted a speed test of the VPN using different servers.

The service was deliberately tested on the weakest connection possible. This was to get unbiased results for this VPN One Click review.

Here are the results.

Before the VPN:

Speed Test without VPN One Click

After the VPN:

Speed Test with VPN One Click

When you connect a VPN, your internet speed drops by some margin. But with VPN One Click, the speed did not drop by much.

This meant that the VPN One Click download speed was good for video streaming in High Definition.

Streaming – Does VPN One Click work with Netflix and Torrenting?

VPN One Click is not suitable for Netflix streaming and torrenting as well. With a plethora of original shows and an archive of classics, Netflix is ruling the roost in the streaming industry.

However, it locks away certain shows in certain countries due to intricate licensing agreements. For instance, Avengers: Infinity war is available only on American Netflix and a handful of other territories.

Subscribers in over 50 countries can only watch Marvel’s smash hit with the help of a VPN.

Unfortunately, Netflix has a powerful VPN detection system. Many VPNs including VPN One Click struggle in bypassing it.

VPN One Click Netflix Error

VPN One Click not working with Netflix is a huge minus point for the provider.

In order to get a Netflix VPN, check this list of paid and free VPNs that work with Netflix as of today.

Torrenting Not Allowed

VPN One Click does not permit P2P downloading. It will shut down the BitTorrent client if you try to download torrents with the VPN.

VPN One Click BitTorrent Policy

The company is willing to provide a refund to any subscriber who mistook VPN One Click as a torrent-friendly service.

So if you need a VPN for secure torrenting, you need to look elsewhere.

Leaks – Does It leak IP, DNS & WebRTC?

VPN One Click is secure because it does not reveal any IP, DNS, and WebRTC information. It does not expose any malware too.

I tested its IP leak protection feature through IPleak.org and found the following outcome:

VPN One Click IP Leak Test

The same went for DNS testing as it passed the said test with excellence:

Luckily, the WebRTC result was also on the safe side:

VPN One Click WebRTC Leak Test

I also tested its vulnerability against viruses or malware but it passed the test successfully.

Trustworthiness – Logging Policy & Customer Support

VPN One Click follows the concept of no-logging in the right way.

User activity logging is a surprising part of a VPN service provider. It is hard to find a reliable provider as most of the vendors maintains logs of users’ online activities. The data is later handed over to law enforcement agencies upon request.

For this VPN One Click review, I studied the privacy policy of the service. I found that the VPN claims that it stores zero logs.

The service is secure and doesn’t track any online activities or connection logs of subscribers.

Customer Support

VPN One Click has tons of FAQs and Guide. It lets you navigate the VPN’s knowledgebase when you click on “Contact our Wiki Support”.

VPN One Click Customer Support

The best way to get quick support from the company is through social media channels. In particular, the provider remains extremely active on Twitter.

Compatibility – Supports Different Platforms & Devices

When it comes to compatibility, VPN One Click offers dedicated apps for Android, Mac OS X, iOS and Windows. Subscribers should have no problem with using the service on the following platforms.

VPN One Click Compatibility

The VPN on windows offers unmatched privacy features and unblocks all geo-blocked services on the go.

VPN One Click Android app offers a slick and handy interface for users of all levels. The app can be downloaded from Google Play Store.

What’s more, the iOS and Mac apps are also available to cater to the Apple family.

VPN One Click Alternatives

Now that you’ve learned everything about this little-known provider. You should be able to make a well-informed decision. If VPN One Click has failed to impress you, the following reviews might interest you.

Do I Recommend VPN One Click?

No, I don’t recommend this UAE based VPN service. After conducting this VPN One Click review, I am a bit torn about this provider.

On one hand, it has fabulous speed, sleek apps, and top-tier network infrastructure. Moreover, no usage policy and a generous seven-day money-back guarantee are impressive perks.

There is no denying the service is cheap, fast and easy to use. Likewise, it provides 256-bit encryption along with impressive compatibility feature. However, it needs to upgrade the tunneling protocols and work on the Netflix issue.

Therefore, I have given this provider 3.0/5.0 stars rating based on the above analysis.

One Response to VPN One Click Review 2020

  1. Paul McManners says:

Please do not waste your time with VPN One Click. The product is poor WHEN IT ACTUALLY WORKS!
Customer service is the worst I have ever known : They even wanted to take remote control over my PC to try and fix the error (no way you criminals – fools don’t do this).

DO NOT BUY THIS – go elsewhere with your cash – it is the cheapest for a reason.
