Alina Kozhevnikova, a participant on the hit series “90 Day Fiancé”, has been abruptly removed from the show following a scandal involving racist remarks she made on social media, it was confirmed this Wednesday. The reality TV star, who was in the midst of filming the current season, will no longer feature in any upcoming episodes or the much-anticipated “Tell All” special.

The controversy erupted earlier this month when incriminating screenshots from Kozhevnikova’s past Facebook and Instagram posts began circulating online. These posts, dating back to 2014 and 2015, contained deplorable racial slurs and stereotypes, shocking fans and onlookers.

In one particular post, Kozhevnikova used the N-word multiple times while describing a party scene in Russia. Another post showed her in costume, employing language and imagery that derogatorily depicted African Americans and other cultural stereotypes.

TLC swiftly responded to the backlash by severing all ties with Kozhevnikova. In a statement, a spokesperson from the network emphasized, “TLC does not tolerate racism or discrimination of any kind.” The network announced that starting from next month, Kozhevnikova will not appear on the ongoing series “Before the 90 Days,” and her involvement in any future seasons of the franchise has been terminated.

The firing of Kozhevnikova is part of a larger trend of reality TV stars facing repercussions for their actions off-screen. Similar incidents have occurred in other franchises, reflecting a growing intolerance for such behavior among both viewers and networks.

Amid the fallout, Kozhevnikova attempted to defend her character. In a recent Instagram post, she expressed,

Despite what’s being said about me, my friends, my family, and those who met me in person know who I really am and who I am not.” She promised her followers that “answers are coming.
