To warm you up, these are the top movies and TV shows that Netflix streaming fans recommend.
Johnny English (Movie)
Rowan Atkinson (the man the whole world knows as Mr. Bean) plays Johnny English, a secret agent for British intelligence agency MI-7. The only problem is that he simply isn’t very intelligent. Along with his loyal side-kick, and with some help from the enchanting interpol agent Lorna Campbell; played by Australian singer-songwriter, model and actress, Natalie Imbruglia.
If you’re tired of the tense James Bond movies and want something that is the absolute inverse of the Jason Bourne series, then Johnny English is the movie for you.
Charlie’s Angels (Movie)
Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu are the angels: A highly talented team of private investigators. The three pistols solve cases for Charlie. Charlie is a mysterious figure who gives them instructions via telephone, and sends them on death defying missions to help those who can’t help themselves.
The movie is a remake of the 1970s TV show that initially aired for 5 seasons from 1976 to 1981. The movie is a nice light hearted action comedy recommended for people who want a break from chick flicks, but don’t want to let go of the chicks all the same.
The Hurt Locker (Movie)
Jeremy Renner is Sergeant 1st Class William James, part of a three-man Bomb Disposal team, stationed in Iraq. The movie never has a dull moment, and is a wonderful presentation of the toll that war takes on the men on the front line.
Fans who loved Jeremy Renner in The Avengers, SWAT, American Hustle, or Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation will love his award winning performance in The Hurt Locker.
Better Call Saul (TV Series)
Breaking Bad fans unite! Better Call Saul is the story of Saul Goodman, when he was better known as Jimmy McGill and was nothing more than a small time criminal attorney. The crime drama TV show is drenched in the type of black comedy that Breaking Bad fans know and love.
The first season features 10 episodes and will be available on Netflix this February. The second season will premier on 15 February, so that gives you time to catch up on the plot.
