Quick Overview

Keezel is a physical device that encrypts your internet traffic, protects from malware, ransomware, phishing, and identity theft whenever you go online.

Once you connect your device to Keezel, just enter Keezel/ in the address bar, that will list down Wi-Fi networks around you.

Connect to any network and free to browse anything, anywhere.

It also works as a power bank, having a battery of 8,000mAh.

Here is a quick overview of the company:

Jurisdiction

Keezel Inc. is based in Newport Beach, California. In short, it is a VPN that is based in US which falls under VPN fourteen eyes country.

It is important to know that any company that falls under 5, 9, or 14 eyes countries, are eligible to share user data to authorities if a warrant is presented.

I never recommend my readers to purchase such a VPN that has presence in such countries as it compromises their online privacy.

Privacy Policy

Since Keezel VPN is a device, it requires your home address information to deliver the package.

In its privacy statement, Keezel makes it very clear that it:

Keezel takes your privacy very seriously and treats your personal information with great care.

But what type of data does it collect apart from home address?

It stores all those information that are required while ordering your device including your payment information.

It also stores information such as how you use your website and service.

About sharing users’ data to third-parties, Keezel has this strong response:

We will never sell or give your personal data to third parties, without your explicit consent.

But that is what makes me wonder:

We will not share your identity with our VPN partners, unless forced to do so under national or international laws and regulations.

As I said earlier, they are bound to share your information users if their government asks for it.

Look at some of the VPNs with no logging policy.

Servers

With a free plan, you only get to connect its 16 servers, but if you get a premium plan you get 1,000+ servers.

These servers also include obfuscated servers that require you to unblock websites that are working in China, Russia, or any country that has strict internet regulations.

With greater number of servers, you have access to a greater number of websites.

Security Roundup

It uses 256-bit encryption that is the industry’ best encryption standard.

Internet traffic that goes through a Keezel device remains secure.

No one knows whatever you do online including Keezel.

Pricing Review

The new Keezel 2.0 device is available for €199.

The device has a lifetime free plan that doesn’t require subscription.

But there’s also a premium plan available in the device that costs extra €60 for 1 year.

If you need to extend that premium plan for a life-time, you will have to pay €399 additional on top of the device.

Here’s a differentiation between a free and a premium plan.

Keezel-VPN-pricing-plan-review

With a single device, you can protect up to 12 devices.

It also gives you 15-days satisfaction guarantee and the device has 1-year limited warranty as well.

Consider this, if you’re going with the free plan you only have to spend €199 for a lifetime.

That’s extraordinary, I believe.

Transparency Report

In our Keezel VPN review, I could not find any transparency report detailing how many times the authorities have asked for users’ data.

It is critical for VPN users and as a result, many companies have started realizing.

There’s a complete list of VPNs that offer transparency reports.

However, Keezel Inc. is very open as to who runs their business.

Aike Muller is the CEO and President of Keezel Inc. who also runs the VPN operations for the company.

Streaming

I was surprised to see Keezel was able to unblock Netflix with its premium service because it had 1,000 servers.

The streaming speed was good as well.

Also, it had no problem unblocking iPlayer or any other streaming services.

I was also able to stream videos on Kodi with the help of Keezel.

It unblocked geo-restricted video content for many countries.

While I performed Keezel safe internet device review, I found that very satisfying that it unblocks Kodi content.

There’s a huge list of VPN Kodi that works best with the streaming player.

Customer Support

It does not have a live chat, but rather you can leave them a message along with your email address and they would reply within 24 hours.

It has also provided submission request page where you insert specific queries along with the attachment of files that has the same respond time.

Despite having a troubleshooting and FAQs page, I believe there is a lack of live chat support.

Alternatives to Keezel

In case you don’t want to use Keezel, you have many other options when it comes to securing your privacy online. Here is the list of other VPNs you may select that includes:

Verdict

Yes, I would definitely recommend users to buy this VPN device that secures your internet connection.

Why I say this is because of number of reasons as I have mentioned in my Keezel review 2019.

It is the first company to launch a VPN device, also works as a power bank with 8,000mAh batter, and connects 12 devices at a time.

I know it’s a bit expensive, but you get a lifetime free plan. How’s that?
