An Indian national, Kandula Nagaraju, has been sentenced to two years and eight months in jail for unauthorized access to his former employer’s computer systems, causing significant financial damage.
Nagaraju, 39, was terminated from Singapore’s National Computer Systems (NCS) in October 2022 due to poor performance. In retaliation, he accessed and deleted 180 virtual servers, resulting in SGD 918,000 (approximately Rs 5.6 crore) in losses.
