This relatively unknown Malaysian VPN service has been working in the field of online privacy since 2009.

I tested MoreVPN’s different attributes like pricing, speed, servers network, logging policy, jurisdiction, and support thoroughly in this review.

There is no denying it is one of the fewest VPNs that provide dedicated IP addresses to their users worldwide. Still, the service keeps some logs in the form of connection logs as well.

Moreover, its server network is limited compared to other VPNs like ExpressVPN or Surfshark that have servers in different countries of the world.

Therefore, I don’t recommend this VPN service to privacy seekers since it does not have a free trial and money-back guarantee for its users.

My Rating Criteria

I have created my own 8 steps rating criteria to examine any VPN service that consists of:

  1. Pricing – What is the cost of MoreVPN?
  2. Security – Protocols & Encryption
  3. Jurisdiction – Where is this VPN located?
  4. Speed – Not on the Higher Side
  5. Streaming – Does it Support Netflix & Torrenting?
  6. Leaks – IP, DNS & WebRTC Tests
  7. Trustworthiness – Logging Policy & Customer Support
  8. Compatibility – How much compatible MoreVPN is?

Pricing – What is the cost of MoreVPN?

MoreVPN follows an expensive pricing strategy in general.

Unlike other virtual network service providers like ExpressVPN or PureVPN, it doesn’t offer monthly, yearly, or 2 yearly plans. All you need to do is buy a VPN account.

There are two types of VPN IPs which you can get from this VPN provider. These are Shared IP VPNs and Dedicated IP VPNs.

Here are the payment plans of Worldwide Shared IP VPN:

  • If you buy Multi-Shared VPNs, then you’ll have to pay $12.00 a month.
  • For 2 US VPNs, you will need to pay $8.00
  • For 2 UK VPNs, a client has to make a payment of $8.00
  • For 1 Germany Shared VPN, Spain Shared VPN, France Shared VPN, Netherlands and Singapore Shared VPN, the client would have to pay $8.00

On the other hand, dedicated IP or static IP VPN is on the higher side, but they outdo shared ones when it comes to benefits and features.

Following are the pricing plans of some of the Dedicated IP VPNs with respective advantages:

1- US Dedicated IP VPN costs $15/month with unlimited IP locations in the US, and its bandwidth is 500 GB per month

2- UAE Dedicated IP VPN costs $30/month with 500 GB per month for any IP Location in U.A.E

3- A user gets two different IP VPNs account for locations of New Zealand with different packages without any restriction of IP location-1) $25 with 20 GB/month and 2) $35 with 1000 GB/month

4- For Norway Dedicated IP VPN, you will have to pay $25 each month where you can get 500 GB per month

5- Just pay $25 every month for South Africa Dedicated IP VPN and enjoy 500 GB each month

6- Likewise, Brazil Dedicated IP VPN costs $35 each month and bandwidth which provides 500 GB per month to choose any location in Brazil

Payment Methods

This Malaysia based VPN offers different payment methods that include:

  • PayPal
  • American Express
  • Discovery
  • Bitcoin

So, when it comes to making payments, it won’t be hard nut to crack process for you at all.

However, you should keep in mind that this is the process which allows you to make manual payments online.

It could be hassle-free for you to try your hands on this VPN service provider; make sure you must be using a verified PayPal account because all of the setup instructions would be emailed to your PayPal account.

On the contrary, the service has no refundable payment plan. It means that once you’ve purchased the product, you can’t get your money back whether you are impressed with the service or not.

Security – Protocols & Encryption

It doesn’t offer protocols  like SSL, SSTP and OpenVPN which certainly can be disappointing for an average user.

MoreVPN has PPTP & L2TP/IPsec as a primary encryption tool, showings that your online life isn’t going to be tracked and manipulated.

In fact, this service is more interested in clients that want to surf internet without getting noticed by prying eyes.

Anyways, if you are zealous binge-watcher that loves to stream for free and for all those netizens who want to play online games, this VPN isn’t for you.

So, you shouldn’t seek ways to make your dreams of online streaming and games come true.

Though, it has plethora of IPs which you can benefit from immensely. They assist you to bypass firewalls and unblock geo-restricted site without any fuss.

Jurisdiction – Where is this VPN located?

MoreVPN is a Malaysian online privacy service. The country does not belong to any 5 eyes, 9 eyes or 14 eyes territory.

Therefore, the service would not have to retain their users’ data as per the law since VPNs those operate from eyes jurisdiction have to follow certain data retention laws.

Servers Network

The VPN has servers in 60 countries of the world. However, it does not offer any information regarding the exact number of server locations on its website.

Speed – Not on the higher side

On speed front, the service will have to improve its performance drastically.

When I connected to its Brazilian server using 25 Mbps internet connection, I received 10.38 Mbps download speed in return.

It means there was a decline of 59% in speed.

Streaming – Does it support Netflix & Torrenting?

Luckily, you can opt MoreVPN for unblocking US Netflix stress-free. You can select a US dedicated IP address to access your favorite US TV shows or movies anonymously.

Surprisingly, you cannot unblock US Netflix with their shared IP packages. Likewise, the provider does not support torrenting activities of their users.

For that purpose, you will need to use other VPNs that assist torrenting activities of netizens.

Leaks – IP, DNS, & WebRTC Tests

MoreVPN does not leak your does not leak your IP, DNS and WebRTC information online.  Here are the proofs:

IP Leak:

DNS Leak:

WebRTC Leak:

Trustworthiness – Logging Policy & Customer Support

Unfortunately, MoreVPN has to collect basic information just for maintenance and routing administration purposes. Hence, it is clear that none of your data is going to land into wrong hands.

On the other side, these services use cookies to gather relevant information about users’ preferences to serve the visitor better, enabling this VPN to offer customized content next-time.

However, if you have concern about your privacy, you can disable cookies for controlling your privacy.

Customer Support

In terms of support, the provider has not included much options in its armory. You can only use Contact Us section to know how to setup the VPN on your diverse devices hassle-free.

Compatibility – How much compatible MoreVPN is?

MoreVPN does not offer dedicated apps for numerous operating systems. That said the service is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Android.

Furthermore, it is difficult to download and use the software on your desired devices. Conversely, you can go through the setup guides available on the official site to complete the installation process successfully.

Alternatives to MoreVPN

However, if you’re feeling unsatisfied, go through other VPNs I’ve covered for you. Rest assured, you will find the better solution of your online privacy and digital life:

Do I Recommend MoreVPN?

No, I don’t recommend MoreVPN.

Although, it’s cost effective VPN which doesn’t cost a fortune. Undefined server locations and meager information on the official website could plummet clients’ confidence and could choose to skip this service for better ones.

This MoreVPN review provides us clear-cut information that it can be first-rate VPN, even though, it goes beyond level of superiority for certain things i.e. Dedicated IP VPN, but, for getting instant recognition, this VPN will have to part ways from mediocrity.

Based on the above analysis, I have given 2.8/5.0 stars rating to the service overall.
