GeoSurf is primarily a proxy tool that is based in Israel. This tool allows users to display content that is specifically restricted to a certain geographical location.
Through this service, businesses can access advertisements on instant messaging service, mobile applications and social media content that is exclusive to a certain location.
According to this GeoSurf review, the service has to improve its performance in areas like server spread. This is because other VPNs like PureVPN and ExpressVPN offer a multitude of servers to their users.
Likewise, it does not unblock Netflix but assists torrenting. Above all, its logging policy is against the users’ privacy considerably. Hence, I don’t recommend GeoSurf to users across the globe.

My Rating Criteria
I have examined GeoSurf as per this below-mentioned 9 steps criteria including:
- Jurisdiction – Is it located in a 5-eyes country?
- Security – Is GeoSurf secure enough?
- Leaks – IP, DNS, WebRTC & Virus Tests
- Servers – Are they P2P compatible?
- Speed – Is this VPN fast?
- Streaming – Does it unblock US Netflix?
- Compatibility – Apps and supported devices
- Pricing – How much does GeoSurf cost?
- Trustworthiness – Trustpilot Ratings, Reddit & Customer Support
Jurisdiction – Is it located in a 5 eye country?
GeoSurf is an Israeli based VPN service. The country is not a part of any 14 eyes country. However, the country works as a partner of 14 eyes alliance.
Therefore, the service may keep the record of its users’ online activities if needed legally.
Security – Is GeoSurf secure enough?
Unfortunately, the VPN keeps their users’ connection logs. The parent company BIS may access, use or disclose their users information including users’ content, IP addresses, traffic data, and usage history too.
On the other hand, it does not offer OpenVPN, SSTP, L2TP/IPsec or other tunneling protocols. In fact, it has only HTTPS protocol in its arsenal for securing their users’privacy.
The said protocol uses TLS (Transport Layer Security) encryption that protect users’ data. Undoubtedly, the provider has to work quite drastically on encryption and protocols account.
Leaks – IP, DNS, WebRTC & Virus Tests
The VPN does not expose your online information. Here are the screenshots:
IP Leak:
DNS Leak:
WebRTC Leak:
Virus Test:
I tested its Android app link through VirusTotal. Consequently, I found no malware in the link whatsoever.
Servers – Are they P2P compatible?
GeoSurf offers 130+ servers in 10+ countries globally. The provider must improve its prevailing server network drastically. Otherwise, they may face issues in increasing their customer base.
As far as their support for torrenting goes, they assist their users’ P2P activities in the right way.
Speed – Is this VPN fast?
GeoSurf literally disappoints its users on speed front big time. When I connected to its server located in Costa Rica using my 30 Mbps internet connection.
I was able to receive only 2.53 download speeds in return:
As you can see, there is a decline of around 90% in speed.
Streaming – Does it unblock US Netflix?
GeoSurf does not provide any information on its website if they allow Netflix streaming or not. In this case, you will have to try your luck and perform trial and error process.
In my opinion, the service does not unblock US Netflix media library.
Compatibility – Apps and supported devices
GeoSurf delivers limited compatibility feature in general. It only supports a handful of platforms like Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS.
This is because it does not assist routers. However, it offers an exclusive browser extension for their subscribers. Similarly, it enables users in safeguarding their numerous devices through unlimited multi-login advantage.
Pricing – How much does GeoSurf cost?
The service offers one of the most expensive pricing plans to its users. These plans are:
- $450/month (Residential Starter)
- $900/month (Residential Professional)
- $2,000/month (Residential Plus)
- Special Enterprise
On payment front, it only provides Credit Card option. To my surprise, it does not offer any sort of refund policy whatsoever.
Considering their expensive pricing plans, they should have delivered some kind of money back guarantee.

Trustworthiness – Trustpilot ratings, Reddit & Customer Support
Surprisingly, GeoSurf does not have a single user review on Trustpilot. The service must take proper steps to develop an active presence on one of the most famous customer sites.
The same goes for Reddit as well since the service to maintain enough existence on a popular community site.
Customer Support
In terms of support, GeoSurf offers various options including live chat in shape of dedicated support agent. Apart from this, other options are:
- FAQs
- Blog
- Contact Us
- Skype
This way, you can take maximum advantage of their support section hassle-free.

Why I don’t Recommend GeoSurf?
There are many reasons that suggest the provider works as a proxy service more than a VPN.
It offers 130+ servers in 10 countries that are still on the lower side if you compare the said feature with the server networks of other VPNs.
Above all, their pricing packages are not conducive for users at all. You will have to spend hundreds of bucks to avail its service.
Based on the above review, I would give 2.7 stars rating overall.
