If all else fails, check to see if changing from a PPTP to an SSTP (or vice versa) resolves the issue. After 6 hours of troubleshooting with the geniuses at Comcast, I checked to see if our VPN would allow either protocol. It did, I changed to SSTP and, voila! I was able to login to our VPN.
