PandaPow VPN is a Hong Kong-based online privacy service that offers 120+ servers from 15 countries. It also offers different features like 7 days refund, compatibility, free trial, and impressive customer support.

However, this PandaPow review in New Zealand indicated that the service might expose viruses to your devices. Similarly, the provider does not have a huge server spread like ExpressVPN and Surfshark.

Furthermore, it does not offer conducive pricing plans for its users too. Above all, PandaPow is not a suitable option in New Zealand when it comes to watching your favorite media content from anywhere securely.

My Rating Criteria – PandaPow Review in New Zealand

I have tested PandaPow in New Zealand according to my own rating criteria that includes:

  1. Pricing – What is the cost of PandaPow?
  2. Security – Encryption & Protocols
  3. Jurisdiction – Where is PandaPow located?
  4. Speed – Is PandaPow VPN fast?
  5. Streaming – Does it Support Netflix?
  6. Leaks – IP, DNS, WebRTC & Virus Tests
  7. Trustworthiness – Logging Policy & Customer Support
  8. Compatibility – Supports Different Platforms & Devices

Pricing – Is this VPN expensive?

The VPN offers relatively expensive pricing plans to its users.

On the payment front, the service offers a comprehensive list of payment methods that include:

  • PayPal
  • BitCoin (upon users’ request)
  • VISA
  • MasterCard
  • American Express
  • Discover
  • WeChat Pay
  • Union Pay & others

All these pricing plans also include 7 day money-back guarantee you can avail of if you are not satisfied with the service and claim the refund within the stipulated time period.

The VPN also delivers a free trial that lasts up to 24 hours. Likewise, you can secure your three (3) different devices with a single PandaPow account, respectively.

Security – Encryption & Protocols

The service offers 256-bit military-grade encryption with 2048-bit authentication. Moreover, the users can experience different sorts of tunneling protocols like PPTP, OpenVPN (TCP and UDP), L2TP, and IPsec.

Hence, the users can protect their online activities in New Zealand from their ISPs and online hackers accordingly.

Jurisdiction – Where is PandaPow located?

PandaPow is a Hong Kong-based VPN service. The country does not belong to any 5 eyes, 9 eyes, or 14 eyes country. It is definitely good news from the privacy point of view as the service would not have to follow certain data retention rules.

Servers Network

PandaPow is currently delivering 120+ VPN servers from 15 countries. Although the numbers are not bad, I hope the provider will add more servers to its prevailing network soon.

This is because other VPNs like ExpressVPN or NordVPN are offering servers in huge numbers to their subscribers in New Zealand.

If the service does not increase its server spread significantly, it may lose a major chunk of potential subscribers in the future.

On the other hand, PandaPow does not reveal any information about its servers, either physical or virtual. Thus, you better read this comprehensive guide that describes the differences between physical and virtual servers.

Speed – Is PandaPow VPN fast?

PandaPow offers above-average speeds in general.  When I connected to its NZ server while using a 25 Mbps internet connection, I received a 16.62 Mbps download speed.

Here you can see the decline of 66.48% in speed.

Streaming – Does it unblock Netflix in New Zealand?

Unfortunately, you cannot use PandaPow if you want to access the US Netflix media library from anywhere. This is because the service has not been able to bypass the Netflix VPN ban in the right way.

Therefore, you will have to consider other VPNs to achieve your streaming mission in New Zealand.

On the other hand, PandaPow allows secure torrenting in New Zealand. That said, you should not opt for the NZ server since you may find yourself in the hot waters of legal hassle if you download copyrighted material.

Leaks – IP, DNS, WebRTC & Virus Tests

PandaPow is not secure;  hence it is not safe to use at all. Besides, the service passed all leak tests, including IP, DNS, and WebRTC as well. Here are the proofs:

IP Leak:

DNS Leak:

WebRTC Leak:

Virus Test:

I tested its Windows setup file through but surprisingly did encounter one malware issue. Here is the screenshot:

Trustworthiness – Logging Policy & Customer Support

The Hong Kong-based VPN keeps logs of its users.  It stores the personal information of the users to improve the performance of its services.

This information includes usernames, email addresses, contact numbers, and others.

Also, the service may record the connection/session information of the users. The connection data consists of IP addresses, bandwidth speeds, the total amount of data used, etc.

Customer Support

In terms of support, PandaPow has ticked all the boxes correctly.

The customer support section of the service surpassed my expectations during our PandaPow review in New Zealand. Furthermore, the users may visit the provider’s official website to find different categories that provide relevant and updated information.

The support function comprises:

  • Contact Us,
  • Blog
  • FAQ,
  • Getting Started Guide
  • Client Area
  • How-to Guides
  • Sub-sections and
  • 24/7 Live Chat

Moreover, users can contact the service through to receive instant answers to their questions.

Compatibility – How much compatible PandaPow is?

in New Zealand, this VPN covers all the popular platforms. These platforms and devices include Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS. Moreover, PandaPow VPN provides manual setups for the Linux operating system.

PandaPow VPN android app is available on Google Play, while the iOS app can be downloaded from iTunes. You can read about the best Android VPN to disclose more popular VPNs in New Zealand.

Do I Recommend PandaPow?

No, I don’t recommend PandaPow in New Zealand.

PandaPow review in New Zealand, It offers some impressive features like speed, multiple apps, and customer assistance, including live chat benefits. On the contrary, it may spread viruses to your devices anytime because it revealed malware during the testing phase.

The pricing strategy does not look quite convincing despite having a free trial advantage in its armory. Therefore, I cannot recommend this VPN to netizens and award them an average 2.8/5.0 stars rating overall.
