A recent ransomware attack has rattled Yorozu Corporation, one of Japan’s leading automotive component manufacturers, stalling crucial business operations and exposing sensitive corporate and personal data.
The attack, which encrypted essential files and halted the company’s financial audits, forced Yorozu to delay its semi-annual report submission to January 2025, significantly impacting shareholders and stakeholders awaiting the latest financials.
In an official statement, Yorozu expressed regret for the inconvenience caused by the cyberattack, which first emerged on October 14.
