January 23, 2025-Credentials from top cybersecurity vendors, including internal systems, were found on the dark web, highlighting critical vulnerabilities and the need for stronger defenses.

In a shocking revelation, account credentials from some of the world’s leading cybersecurity vendors have surfaced on dark web marketplaces, raising alarm across the industry. A recent report by Cyble found credentials for sensitive internal systems, including Okta, GitHub, AWS, and Microsoft Online, available for as little as $10.

These credentials, some tied to developer interfaces and customer data platforms, were likely harvested using infostealer malware and sold in bulk. Alarmingly, the leaked information could be exploited to orchestrate large-scale cyberattacks. A spokesperson from Cyble said:

Cyble emphasized the role of dark web monitoring in detecting such breaches and urged organizations to adopt multi-factor authentication (MFA) and zero-trust models to mitigate risks. The report noted:

The credentials were tied to both customer accounts and internal vendor systems, highlighting the wide-reaching implications of the breach. Cyble refrained from naming the affected vendors but confirmed that 14 companies were analyzed, all with leaked data since the start of 2025. A cybersecurity analyst said:

The incident underscores the growing challenges of safeguarding against ransomware, data breaches, and reconnaissance attacks.
