Boston, MA | February 12, 2025 – Progress Software’s LoadMaster vulnerabilities expose systems to remote command execution and data theft. Experts urge immediate patching to prevent cyberattacks!
Critical security flaws in Progress Software’s LoadMaster have put business-critical applications and websites at risk, leaving systems vulnerable to remote attacks and data breaches. Cybersecurity experts warn that hackers could exploit these flaws to execute arbitrary commands and steal sensitive files if left unpatched.
Progress Software has confirmed that five high-severity vulnerabilities (CVSS 8.4) impact multiple LoadMaster versions, a widely used application delivery controller (ADC) and load balancer. These flaws allow attackers to execute system commands and download any file on the system if they gain access to the management interface.
This is a ticking time bomb—if attackers breach LoadMaster, they could control critical business networks.
The affected versions range from 7.2.48.12 and prior to 7.2.60.1, with fixes available in 7.2.61.0 and 7.2.54.13. While Progress Software insists there is no evidence of active exploitation, security experts warn that unpatched systems remain prime targets for cybercriminals.
Threat actors have weaponized similar vulnerabilities before—patching now is critical.
With LoadMaster used across enterprises, financial institutions, and cloud infrastructures, experts fear a potential wave of attacks if organizations fail to apply patches immediately.
