Nebraska Attorney General Mike Hilgers has filed a historic lawsuit against Change Healthcare, UnitedHealth Group, and Optum following a massive data breach that exposed sensitive information of nearly one million Nebraskans earlier this year.
The breach, labeled one of the largest in Nebraska’s history, compromised critical personal data, including Social Security numbers, medical records, and financial information. Hilgers is calling for accountability, citing failures in protecting the private data of residents.
