A data breach at MML Investors Services LLC, a subsidiary of MassMutual, has exposed sensitive client information. The incident occurred between August 17 and August 19, 2024, when an unauthorized party accessed data through two newly opened Fidelity brokerage accounts.

The breach was detected by National Financial Services LLC (NFS), which provides clearing services for MML. NFS immediately terminated the unauthorized access and enlisted cybersecurity experts to investigate the scope of the breach.

Although the exact details of the compromised data have not been disclosed, affected clients have been notified.
