Cybercriminals have taken their game to a shocking new level, hijacking Microsoft Teams calls to deploy the sinister DarkGate malware. This alarming revelation has sent chills through the tech and business worlds as attackers exploit trust in workplace tools to gain unauthorized access.
The hackers use social engineering tactics, posing as clients or trusted vendors during Teams calls. Once the victim is engaged, the attacker manipulates them into downloading AnyDesk, a legitimate remote access tool, which they then weaponize to deliver DarkGate malware.
