Once you start installing Jazz Build Kodi, the installation ends half way and nothing is changed. This may happen a few times and it may lead to frustration.

Solution

To fix this problem, before you start installing Jazz Kodi Build, it is important that you get Fresh Start Kodi add-on. This add-on helps you restore Kodi to default settings. Now repeat the entire installation step for Jazz Build Kodi.

Problem 2: Could Not Connect to Repository

This problem may arise when you have inserted a wrong URL of the repository. You may also face this problem if you have a weak internet connection.

  1. Steve says:

After installing Jazz I couldn’t access the feeds from ANY of the repositories such as Neptune, Genesis reborn, Ted, etc. The repositories were there but the menus associated with them had been changed and no longer functioned properly. I had quick access icons across the bottom of the screen for the most used feeds (the above listed feeds) that no longer function and I can’t access the other 2 dozen or so add-ons anymore. I use the default Jarvis interface, not any other. Do I need to reinstall Jarvis and all the repositories from scratch or is there some other way to undo the damage?

    • Shahmeer Baloch says:

Hey Steve, did you try the Fresh Install or the Standard Install? Try Fresh Install if you haven’t. But before that, you need to clear everything on your Kodi and restore your settings to default Kodi. To do that, you need to Install Fresh Start Kodi add-on. You can find it on Dimitrology Repo https://dimitrology.com/repo/ > There will be a file called plugin.video.freshstart-1.0.5.zip > Open it once you install > It will automatically prompt you to erase everything on Kodi and start from scratch. Now you can start installing Jazz Build. Also, one piece of advice, if you can install Kodi Krypton 17.6 that would be great.

      • Steve says:

I tried Krypton but it wouldn’t play well with my HTPC so I reverted to Jarvis. Somewhat of a PITA reinstalling everything from scratch as Kodi is not user friendly when it comes to installing the Addons. It’s gotten a little bit easier since I first installed it a few years ago but never the less it’s a chore. I’ll try your suggestion for the Fresh Start Kodi but I’m a little hesitant about installing Jazz seeing as how it basically sucker punched Kodi rendering it inoperable. There was a last step that I opted not to take because it seemed to indicate that it would remove some of Kodi’s addon’s/functions (?) and that may be why it’s misbehaving. I haven’t had this kind of problem installing other Addons. With all that being said is Jazz an update to Kodi like Krypton was to Jarvis or is it an addon?
