IPinator VPN is a US based VPN service that does not fulfill the criteria of any standard service. The service offers 84 server locations in various countries of the world.
The only good thing about the service is its SmartDNS feature. This trait makes IPinator VPN a good choice for those users who want to unblock their favorite content.
In this IPinator VPN review, I will try to cover each aspect of the service in detail.
After reading this review, you can compare this VPN with some of our other popular VPN reviews and make a well-informed decision.

- Offers exclusive SmartDNS Servers
- Does not keep logs
- Compatible with multiple devices
- The service is based in USA
- Keeps the log of the users

- Leaks WebRTC
- Does not work with Netflix
IPinator VPN Review – Logging Policy
IPinator makes it clear that it stores zero logs.
However, I have seen this claim from almost every VPN provider.
Some “no logs VPN” have proven to be outright cheats.
So, is IPinator true to its zero logging policy?
Well, until now, its record has been clean. It has not given away data to any government agency so far.
Hence, it’s innocent until proven otherwise.
IPinator VPN SmartDNS Servers
Through SmartDNS serve, you can easily access geo-restricted content on various devices globally. In fact, VPNs with Smart DNS are often dubbed as the best VPNs for Firestick and other streaming devices.
DNS proxies can also prevent DNS IP leaks. This puts an extra layer of security on your device and averts the scenario in which your location gets exposed to the online world.
IPinator is currently offering a huge global network of DNS servers enabling you to unblock different streaming websites.
Protocols and Encryption
I was unable to find any information about the protocols IPinator VPN offers to its users. The provider should have offered a list of tunneling protocols like PPTP, OpenVPN, L2TP/IPSec, SSTP, and IKEv2. Sadly, I did not find any of the above-mentioned protocols on the official website.
I would have loved if the provider was using OpenVPN protocol. It provides a great balance of speed with security.
The premium VPN + SmartDNS package provides 1024-bit encryption. However, I do not know about the level of encryption other pricing plans offer to the subscribers.
DNS and WebRTC Leak Test
IP leaks occurs when you least expect them.
And believe me, they are disastrous for your online privacy.
For this reason, I conducted the following DNS and WebRTC leak tests in this IPinator VPN review.
I have censored out the WebRTC address as the VPN was leaking it.
Yes. This is something that took me by surprise.
Anyways, I had to check it again just to be sure.
Again. This seems to be a continuous problem with IPinator.
We all have certain digital needs. If you are a binge streamer like me, you can compromise on everything except speed.
After all, no one enjoys buffering while watching their favorite shows online.
So as a VPN and a Smart DNS service, IPinator’s true strength lies in its speed.
Here’s how it performs.
Speed without IPinator:
Speed with IPinator:
IPinator dropped my connection speed by 9 Mbps. A significant drop and certainly one that would affect the streaming experience.
Does not work with Netflix
This is something that bugged me.
The primary job of Smart DNS and VPN service is to unblock geo-restricted streams.
However, IPinator failed to unblock Netflix US in all of my attempts.
Color me disappointed.
Let’s hope the provider works on it Netflix service and comes up with an appropriate solution.
Torrenting: Is it Allowed?
Torrents allow us to download huge file in small bits.
Due to their stop/start feature, torrents are the arguably the most convenient way of downloading content.
On the negative side, torrents reveal your IP address to numerous individuals. Some of them just want to steal your information to make easy money.
But with a VPN doing its magic, these hackers can only run circles around your online identity.
IPinator is one the VPNs that supports secure torrenting.
Jurisdiction: The United States
‘Merica, is truly the land of opportunity. It is a country where dreams turn into reality.
However, when it comes to online privacy, the situation of this country is somewhat nightmarish.
On one side, you have the ever-conniving NSA watching over the citizens like Big Brother. On the other, the legislative protection of public privacy continues to decline under the current government.
To make matters worse.
America is at the heart of the Five Eyes Alliance, the group of countries that share intel with one another.
Long this short, I found the VPN’s jurisdiction a bit problematic in this IPinator VPN review.
This service offers 84 server locations along with 2000 IP addresses worldwide.
These numbers are pretty impressive. Especially considering that an established VPN like TunnelBear only provides servers from 20 countries.
You can connect to your preferred server location and start web surfing anonymously with IPinator.
I was not impressed by the customer service of this VPN while conducting this IPinator VPN review. By offering only two options like Contact Us and FAQs, you cannot claim to be a market leader in the privacy industry.
Moreover, I tried to know about IPinator VPN servers’ location through using Contact us page.
Sadly, I was unable to get a response from the customer support section after three days. This is how the service operates in the market. I was expecting something better from IPinator VPN but all our hopes went in vain.
Through FAQ section, you can find your answers to your queries related to account activation issues and payment methods. The section should have added more value in terms of awareness for the users. Surprisingly, I did not find much information for this IPinator VPN review, as I would have liked.
IPinator VPN Compatibility
IPinator is compatible with multiple platforms.
These platforms include:
- Internet Explorer
The users should go to download section to install IPinator VPN on their preferred devices. Furthermore, the Linux and iOS subscribers can use IPinator VPN chrome browser extension to install the service.
IPinator for Window
For Windows, IPinator has a dedicated client that is available on the provider’s website.
The client is wrapped in rar file, which means that it needs to be unzipped before installing.
When you click on the client, a three days trial will begin straightaway.
The app itself has retro look. It provides an instant “Connect” option.
In the setting, you can enable and disable DNS Protection, SSL Encryption and Smart IP Rotation. Hence, you can customize it to some extent.
Other than this, it is a lightweight client that does its job with supreme efficiency.
IPinator for Mac
IPinator has a dedicated app for Mac, which a bit different from the Windows client but performs similarly.
The app helps Mac users get past geographical restrictions and browse with ultimate freedom.
IPinator for Android
One can argue that smartphone devices are more vulnerable to cyber threats than personal computers. After all, former gets connected to public Wi-Fi far more than the latter.
Since android dominates the smartphone market, the IPinator VPN APK should help many people impede hacking attempts.
IPinator for iOS
Of course, one can never leave behind the iPhone crowd whilst discussing about online privacy. After all, iOS users are growing in numbers but remain expose to a bundle of threats.
Fortunately, IPinator has got iPhone users covered with its custom app.
IPinator for Browser
While browser extensions are no replacement for dedicated VPN client, they are extremely useful in your day to day geo-dodging.
IPinator has extensions for all the popular browser extensions including Google Chrome, Opera and Safari. However, Firefox is missing from this coveted list.
IPinator VPN Price and Plans
Now we get to the important part of this IPinator VPN review: the pricing plans.
IPinator is currently offering three types of pricing plans. These pricing plans are VPN or SmartDNS Only, VPN + SmartDNS, and Premium VPN + SmartDNS.
You can avail VPN or SmartDNS only plan by paying $49.00. Likewise, you will have to pay $99.00 for subscribing VPN + SmartDNS package.
Similarly, you should pay $49.00 for Premium VPN + SmartDNS plan on yearly basis. However, the IPinator lifetime subscription is available on two plans. The users can select the Premium VPN + SmartDNS at the cost of $4.99 on monthly basis.
Furthermore, the users may use the same VPN or SmartDNS only package by spending $29.00 per year. Similarly, you can avail VPN + SmartDNS plan through paying $79.00 every year.
Readers of this IPinator VPN review will be disappointed by the lack of payment methods.
There are only ways of paying the provider: Credit Cards and PayPal.
Alas! a bitcoin option would have been nice.
Unfortunately, IPinator does not offer any refunds to its customers.
Hence, the free trial is only way through which you can evaluate this service.
This IPinator review has told you all there is to know about this VPN + Smart DNS service. If you are not impressed, consider exploring the following reviews.

IPinator Reddit Review
On the popular forum reddit, a short IPinator review sums up its attributes.
Meanwhile, some users have a problem with how the VPN handles their password.
To sum up, I did not find this service to be impressive. The provider has headquarter based in the US. Hence, this is enough to create doubts in our minds. I would recommend users not to select IPinator VPN as their preferred online privacy service.
There are different VPN services available in the market those offer desired level of protection and anonymity to the users. Despite offering SmartDNS solution through a detailed list of SmartDNS servers, the service lacks basic functionality of a VPN.
This IPinator VPN review has clearly highlighted that this VPN is faulty to the core. In particular, the WebRTC leaks are enough to drive me away from this service.
