New Delhi, March 12, 2025 – Dr. Anupam Tiwari, a cybersecurity advisor in the Ministry of Defence (MoD), has raised concerns that India is significantly behind global standards in establishing security norms for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). His remarks come amid growing challenges related to the white labeling of UAV technology.
Dr. Tiwari highlighted nine critical issues that India must address to secure its technological future, emphasizing the country’s vulnerability in cryptographic security and the absence of indigenous solutions.
In his address titled “Strengthening Drone Indigenisation & Manufacturing in India: Addressing Supply Chain Vulnerabilities & Resilience,” Dr. Tiwari discussed the evolving landscape of drone technology and the urgent need for India to enhance its security protocols.
