Bluestacks is one of the oldest and most widely used Android emulators in the world. According to CrunchBase, Bluestacks has around 145 million users. If you don’t know, Bluestacks allows you to convert your computer into a full-fledged Android device. You can play popular games like Pubg and run any Android app imaginable.
But despite having an insanely large user base, Bluestacks has few security vulnerabilities unless you use a Bluestacks VPN. To start off, Bluestacks runs on the Android Platform which is infamous for being insecure. Not only that, Bluestacks suffers from vulnerabilities like CVE-2019-12936, CVE-2018-0701, and CVE-2016-4288.
Even if you don’t consider security flaws to be much of an issue, you’re securely going to be annoyed by geo-restrictions. Apps like Spotify and Hulu are only available in a handful of countries. Not to mention Netflix & BBC iPlayer.
Keeping this in mind, I’ve compiled an awesome list of powerful Bluestacks VPNs that can encrypt your network traffic, and help you deal with vulnerabilities or geo-blocks.
But first, a brief overview…

Should I use free VPNs for Bluestacks?
To be blatantly honest with you, no!
Since free VPNs are nothing more than proxies, you cannot expect any sort of security.
Not only that, free VPNs have a bad reputation for maliciously stealing user data and selling it to third-party advertisers.
Since free VPNs are plagued by stringent bandwidth caps, you’re likely not going to be able to download apps with large file sizes.
Considering that you don’t want to deal with limited bandwidths, and stolen user data, the smart choice is to use one of the top-rated VPNs like the ones I’ve discussed in this blog.
Wrapping up!
Bluestacks might be one of the best emulators around, but geo-restrictions and security vulnerabilities can make using the app a rather challenging decision.
Don’t worry though, a Bluestacks VPN can not only help you download geo-restricted android apps like Spotify, Netflix, and Pandora, but also help you stay protected from security vulnerabilities.

I find myself having a lot of issues with the Youtube app as a result. I always wanted to download a video for the video I want but it doesn’t support video: I don’t know why I have problems but I would pay for a service like Vimeo which supports video upload. If I get any videos that have some video I need it then I don’t want Youtube to support it. I can’t buy a license and the app would take me through a bunch of hoops to get what I want to download and just make the video a couple more times. I think it’s a fair trade-off and probably an absolute minus if they could offer this to some people to download the videos but I’m not sure of the market share of a large number of developers that would buy it. So I just use the snap tube for the reason that it really runs smoothly with my Bluestacks app.
Hey Cristina,
Hmmm, I’ve never had any trouble running the Youtube app with my Bluestacks 4 app. But yeah, downloading videos can be a pain though. Thanks for sharing Snap Tube. I would love to check it out.
Cheers!
