NVPN is an affordable VPN service based in Bosnia (a Southeastern European country).
It offers good encryption (256-bit CBC/SHA512) and several protocols, but it lacks decent speed.
It has slow servers without the capability to unblock Netflix.
NVPN has 56 servers in 35 countries and doesn’t keep logs. Please read our full NVPN review in Australia to know more about this VPN.

NVPN Review in Australia – My Rating Criteria
These are the 8 factors that I have used to review NVPN:
- Pricing – How much does NVPN cost in Australia?
- Security – Encryption & features
- Jurisdiction – Is it located in a 5-eyes country?
- Speed – How fast is NVPN in Australia?
- Streaming – Does it work with Netflix in Australia?
- Leaks – Does it leak IP, DNS & WebRTC?
- Trustworthiness – Logs and customer support in Australia
- Compatibility – Apps and supported devices
Pricing – How much does NVPN cost in Australia?
NVPN’s cost is quite affordable when you buy its annual plan in Australia. There are 2 plans, Shared IP and Dedicated IP. I have listed their annual plans:
Annual shared IP is enough to secure your online privacy in Australia, but if you want a separate IP address that doesn’t get shared with other NVPN users, you must get its Annual dedicated IP plan. Check out our detailed guide on dedicated IP VPN to determine the difference between shared IP and dedicated IP and more in detail.
I found out in the NVPN review that it offers plenty of payment methods. These are listed below:
- Amazon Gift Card
- Paymentwall (Credit Cards, Bank, Mobile, etc.)
NVPN has an exclusive 3 days money-back guarantee. Still, the users should understand the refund policy to know about the repercussions.
Here is a look at their refund policy clause:
In terms of price, it’s a good choice. However, if you’re looking for a more premium VPN at low rates, check out our list of best VPN deals and avail of amazing discounts!
Security – Encryption & features
NVPN uses a 256-bit CBC/SHA512 as default and, alternatively, 128-bit Blowfish-CBC / SHA1 to secure your online traffic.
The service offers 5 types of tunneling protocols such as OpenVPN, L2TP/IPsec, IKEv1 & IKEv2, Squid proxy, and SOCKS5 proxy.
The protocols such as OpenVPN, Squid, and Socks 5 proxy can be tunneled with a “tunnel” for enhanced encryption.
Jurisdiction – Is it located in a 5-eyes country?
NVPN is based in Bosnia, which does not fall under 5 eyes, 9 eyes, or 14 eyes countries.
Bosnia is a Southeastern European country and follows EU laws. But when it comes to data retention laws, it has no restrictions on the internet.
The VPN service currently provides 56 servers in 34 countries.
Speed – How fast is NVPN in Australia?
The speed of NVPN is too slow. I tested its speed using its Canadian server within Australia.
My internet speed before I connected to their service was 29 Mbps. But as I connected to the NVPN server, my speed declined to 11.87 Mbps.
Here is the result of the speed test:
As you can see, the speed declined by 60%
Streaming – Does it work with Netflix in Australia?
No, it does not work with US Netflix in Australia. It doesn’t boast that it works on Netflix as well, so I was kind of prepared that it won’t work.
Netflix restrictions have tremendously strong in detecting a VPN. I found in our NVPN review in Australia that there’s a limited chance of bypassing its surveillance system.
Armed with a Squid and SOCKS5 proxy, NVPN optimizes the torrenting experience of the users in Australia. It does that by shielding the torrenters from threats without throttling their bandwidth.
It also works with Kodi media players as well. Kodi is an amazing media-streaming platform that offers video content for TV shows, movies, documentaries, and much more. However, the multimedia server fetches content through torrents and other sources.
If you want to access the latest content on Kodi, you should use a Kodi VPN.
Leaks – Does it leak IP, DNS & WebRTC?
NVPN managed to pass all the leak tests. I used the same Canada server within Australia to check for any leaks.
Here are the test results:
Trustworthiness – Logs and customer support in Australia
NVPN is a strictly no-log VPN. It does not store any critical information, but only the following information:
- Payment Transaction ID
These are the common information needed to subscribe to their service.
- Original IP
- Session duration time and dates
- Traffic amounts
- Web browsing history
That’s good to know that it is truly a no-log VPN.
It has poor customer support in Australia. There are only 2 ways you can get help from their support staff. This includes Ticket System and Knowledgebase (FAQs).
There is no live chat support, nor can you email them for support.
Compatibility – Apps and supported devices
Compatibility is an issue with NVPN. Although you can use the VPN on Windows, Mac, Android, Linux, iOS, and various routers, it only has a dedicated app for Windows.
Users have to manually set up the VPN in Australia, which can be a cumbersome process.

Do I Recommend NVPN in Australia?
Based on the above NVPN review in Australia, I do not recommend NVPN.
Despite being a no-log VPN, it has a slow server speed and doesn’t work with Netflix. To put it simply, it isn’t the VPN for streaming.
Also, it has poor customer support with such a poor response rate. It has a good affordable price, but not so good money-back guarantee of 3 days. Overall, it’s not a good VPN to use.
