Dubai, February 5, 2025 – Cequence Security, a leader in API security and bot management, has announced significant growth in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region, fueled by increased customer adoption, strategic partnerships, and an enhanced leadership team.

This expansion solidifies Cequence’s status as a primary provider of API security and bot management solutions in the region, addressing the rising demand for advanced threat protection and digital risk mitigation. CEO Ameya Talwalkar emphasized the importance of APIs, stating, “APIs are the backbone of modern digital transformation, but they are also the most exploited attack surface.”

Cequence’s growth in the MEA region includes several key developments: a 193% year-over-year increase in annual recurring revenue (ARR), a 68% rise in partner deal registrations, and an 83% increase in reseller partnerships across various countries, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Egypt. The company also plans to sign a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at LEAP 2025, reinforcing its commitment to regional cybersecurity initiatives.

To further drive its expansion, Cequence has appointed Mohammad Ismail as the new Head of Go-to-Market (GTM) & Sales for EMEA, based in Dubai. Ismail brings over 25 years of experience in cybersecurity and enterprise IT, aiming to strengthen customer and partner relationships in the region.

Cequence’s platform has enabled numerous organizations across MEA to tackle critical API security and bot management challenges, helping them secure APIs during open banking transitions, enhance governance and security testing, and detect sophisticated API attacks through AI-driven threat detection.

The company has received continued investor support, including from Prosperity7 Ventures and Sanabil Investments, as it pioneers cybersecurity innovation in the rapidly growing Middle Eastern market.

As part of its commitment to innovation, Cequence has introduced new capabilities tailored to the MEA market, ensuring compliance with regional data sovereignty requirements and enhancing partner enablement programs.

Cequence will showcase its solutions at LEAP 2025, where CEO Ameya Talwalkar will discuss the evolving landscape of API security and bot management, highlighting emerging threats and strategies for mitigating cyber risks.
